in time asics will be made that can mine it and you get half the hashrate of scrypt coins FPGA can already do it  .....

Wow, if that would be the reason then not a single crypto algorithm out there would make any sense at all, but ok, I take note of your opinion.
Personally I don't believe in X11 as all SHA-3 candidates were required to be FPGA implemented and some were even marked as ASIC friendly.
