Just curious if any of these VCs for bitcoin have launched a tv marketing campaign or if any businesses have added "We take bitcoin" announcements to their commercials.

If someone with the funds could put together tv commercials and PSAs about it, that'd definitely help the cause here toward mass adoption since it'd be even more legitimized.

You say "anti government" like that's a bad thing...

Overstock added a brief mention that they now accept bitcoin on the end of their TV commercial.

Better than nothing and at least gets the name/brand out there and hopefully piques a lot of interest.

I think I overheard Gilfoyle say he should be paid in Bitcoins during HBO's "Silicon Valley" in a recent episode.

bitcoin does not need paid advertising. as long as businesses or tv shows just mention the word atleast

so dont invest money in just bitcoin, instead get bitcoin businesses to do it. EG bitpay tv adverts, overstock tv adverts.

EG you never see an advert for dollar.. but you see many adverts of businesses that accept dollars (mastercard/ retailers)
EG you never see an advert for facbook credits.. but you see many adverts that accept facebook credits (zynga games)

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

My question was inspired off a couple threads on here, namely the Bitcoin Is Freedom thread...which made me suddenly imagine a PSA sort of tv commercial with people from all walks of life giving a statement about what bitcoin is to them...no pitch, just bitcoin is...

and then a suggestion to learn more at bitcoin.org or wherever...

Even radio spots.

Don't forget, the mass public tend to accept it readily if the television tells them to  Grin
