Bitcoin Users:
Promote Bitcoin to a business you frequent and win prizes

Business Owners:
Sponsor a prize and be featured in this post permanently

How to win prizes

1. Think of a business that you frequent but doesn't accept bitcoin (online or not)
2. Tell them how bitcoin could benefit them and give relevant real life examples (similar business successes)
3. Post the email you sent here, or write down the conversation if it was real life
4. Sponsors from the forum will randomly pick one winner for EVERY page (can win multiple prizes each page!)
(if no business comes to mind, just hit again one of those already posted)

How to be a sponsor

1. Post what prize you will give once for every page this thread makes
2. I will add your prize and link to your website on the first post
3. Monitor the thread and pick one winner for every page
4. Just quote the one you choose to win and let him know how to claim the prize.

Concept behind this campaign

Here is the thinking behind this campaign in case you have questions about some of the points above, that might answer them

  • Organic adoption has been good, but instead of waiting for it passively, why not push it a little?
  • A lot of people have heard about bitcoin, but most need to hear it multiple times before considering it.
  • It's natural to most business owners to listen to their customers, especially the regular ones.
They are in the best position to make the change.
  • Even something as simple as a conversation or email could work, especially when several customers do it.
Real life examples are important because that's how people accept new stuff easier.
  • It's important everything to be posted in the thread, so it's transparent, it inspires others.
Gives them ideas on what to say, and it's a visual representation for progress being done
  • Users benefit because they get free stuff. Sponsors benefit because they get free (or cheap) exposure.
And as a result the whole bitcoin ecosystem moves forward. It's a win-win-win!

Hello!

I have an awesome suggestion for you, since your work mostly consists of donating to charities, why don't you start adopting bitcoins? You can easily create a wallet to collect donations and only use that single wallet to minimize your transaction fees. You can check the payments by asking the sender's wallet address and automatically deliver after it reaches 1 confirmation.

Doing this will both benefit your cause and also the popularity of Bitcoin. Please think about starting to adopt this next-generation currency, called bitcoins.

Thank you for reading!

And we got moved to Games and rounds sub-forum again where this thread will surely die.
It's more an adoption campaign with little initiative for the people to make it more fun. Since it helps the whole community would be nice to have in the main forum where it has a chance.

Nobody from the mods answered me, if someone knows a way to get it moved, please help Sad

I'm willing to donate some caps on behalf of the Bitcoin General Store.

Every time a winner is chosen I will PM them a one-time code to use at https://bitcoingeneralstore.com/ for one free cap. (Winners outside the US will have to pay shipping, unfortunately.)

Still around.

That's so cool! Added it to the OP.
You can choose your own winner as soon as we turn to page 2. Then choose someone from page 1, quote his winning post with details how to get it.
We want to decentralize the winner choosing, so it's more random and fair.
