Bubble is bursting.

What we are experiencing right now is bull trap.
So we shouldnt buy in then?

What you shouldn't buy into is the ridiculous trolling by clueless noobs like scryptasicminer.

Noob, maybe. But far from clueless.

Sorry. I thought you were being serious.

I guess I'd better get my sarcasm meter fixed.

If price went from 1200 to 300 (btcchina) do not worry holders here, you must be braver than I am.

Where the price will finally stabilize is anyone guess.

Finally stabilize? LOL

Certainly not within the next few years and certainly not in mere triple digits.

We've barely moved from the innovator stage to the early adopter stage.

While some bagholders desperately hope for lower BTC prices to dump their fiat, they're deluding themselves with their pipedreams of sub-$400 coins.

The biggest mistake a noob can make is to treat Bitcoin as if it were stock in a company or some kind of investment vehicle. Save that for things like the Winklevoss ETF.

Bitcoin is a protocol, and an open-source, peer-to-peer, cryptographically secure one at that. Don't compare it to stocks, bonds or forex. Compare it to the early days of TCP/IP.

$40,000?

Yeah, I've been holding since $50-$100, so holding from $1200 to $339 is no big deal.  I'm still up by more than double.

Look, you either believe bitcoin is going to change the world or you don't.  If you do, then holding is the only logical thing there is.

Isn't $1000 a bit pessimistic?

Getting back to 4 digits is just a start. The last half year has been an aberration.

This is equivalent to last summer when the price was artificially low and some people thought triple digits were unlikely before the end of the year and anyone who suggested $500 (let alone over $1000) was ridiculed as a dreamer.

I'll be extremely surprised if the price doesn't reach $5000 some time in 2014.

I'd prefer a sustainable, slow rise over an unsustainable mania. But that doesn't seem to be the way bitcoin works...

However I'm sure that the next bubbles will not feature a rise as steep as the previous ones. We already have a high market capitalization, so a lot of capital is needed to move the pricce significantly.

Regarding the next bubble, i think we have to wait a little longer. I predict a slow rise for the coming months, more like a stabilization period. 2015 we'll see the next bubble phase.

Isn't a bit optimistic?

Not at all, given the violent jumps that BTC has made before.

When price starts really going up, it will likely make a reasonable estimate of what logically we think it could go to look tame.

When it starts shifting, the news picks up on it aswell, and outsiders start buying the odd BTC here and there and it really shifts as more and more new people get on it.

It's picking up. Looks like August might have a bit late, unless that is when the bubble *really* takes off.

According to "the chart" we will first hit the beartrap and then enter the mega bubble.
Let's hope the bear trap is $1000 or so, then the bubble will be $5k+ Wink

I put a vote on June where there will be a small consolidation just before the real bubble starts.

P.S. This TA is based on the skidmark I made on my TP.

Bitcoin is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get !!

4200 CNY was the price at which it started dropping.
Coincidence ? I think not.

I think it will end up over 1k$ but under 2k$ by the end of this year , I guess mostly around 1500$

I know that the Bitcoin protocol is the future and not many released altcoins have had better fundamentals.
The only reason I can see for Bitcoin to drop is if a new cryptocurrency is innovative.

I mean innovative as the new currency x being to Bitcoin as Bitcoin is to centralized yet anonymous digital currencies.

I don't see that happening right now , but in a couple years , what if it supercedes BTC ?
