Is there really no quick way to buy BTC with a credit card?

Could they just use anti-fraud strategies that many online retailers use?

many keep popping up but they charge an arm and leg for you to do it because you can just cancel the transaction after the bitcoins are sent.

Who are the people canceling / scamming?

Are they they using stolen cards or actually doing this douchebaggery with their own cards?

It's the main flaw with BitCoin for online transactions: you pay it, it's gone. Great for retailers, but users are a little wary. It's why escrow services will be so important to BitCoin's future, I guess.

There is a way to buy Bitcoins with your credit card or even paypal quickly and securely 24-48 hours. You need a Second Life account to purchase Linden dollars and then you can trade them for Bitcoins via https://www.virwox.com/. The linden dollar purchases are usually instant and transactions through virwox can be instantaneous or can take up to 48 hours to process new accounts.

It's all about the game, and how you play it

The simplest way to do this is to use your card to purchase something other people would trade bitcoins for, you can check the currency exchange section of this forum to find people who are looking to purchase various giftcards for bitcoins(note the odds of you exchanging the GC for full face value are slim)

It isn't quite that simple, you can use a paxum, or md from stores like walmart and CVS.

I hear some people do pay pal with trusted people, I am hoping to find this here. I know about all the fraud and what not. It's a shame the frauders have to ruin it for all of us.
