Well, i think the profits will still be fine, but 20% is still a rather large commission in my opinion.

I hope that you will at least reduce it a little for investors who stick with you for the long term. (for example -1% commission per year that you are an investor with a minimum of 10% (or 5%) commission or so).

That way you also reward the persons who have been with you through good and bad times, instead of rewarding everyone equally, even if they just join when things are going well and leave you at times you need them most.

It's ultimately your decision, but i'm just venting my opinion.

We will be implementing the following commissions changes at re-launch, which is likely to occur within a few hours:

  • House commissions will change to 15%
  • Current bankroller reimbursements will increase by 10% so the amount received over time will be 1.1x the current losses incurred as a result of these recent events

Down the road, as we begin to release more games with higher house edges, increased minimum bets, other great features and the marketing surrounding them, we will re-consider the commissions % at that time.

The more relevant statistic for bankrollers is ROI over time.  This statistic is not only a reflection of the house commissions.  It is in fact the culmination of many factors, one of which is the house commissions.

We feel that bankrollers will have significant ROI potential on our site, as it currently is, and even moreso as it develops.  Of course that is a decision bankrollers will have to make for themselves.  Please remember to never risk more then you can afford to lose either as a bankroller or as a player.

Thank you, expect us to be re-launched within a few hours.

Okay, after 2 long days, we are back online!

All bankrollers who incurred losses from the incident will have their reimbursement information posted in their wallet window first thing tomorrow.

If there are any issues at any time, please post them either here or email us as we cannot promise seeing all the chat information.

That's it.

Good luck, have fun, and happy planet hunting! Smiley

As for the new method we calculate our hashes:

We now use the HMAC-variant of SHA-512.

The new way the bet result is calculated:
Code:
$message=$nonce.":".$player_seed.":".$nonce;
$secret=$nonce.":".$server_seed.":".$nonce;

$hash=hash_hmac('sha512',$message,$secret);

$hash=substr($hash, 0, 7);
$number=hexdec($hash);
$roll=1+$number%$dice_faces;
return $roll;

To prove that the new system works well, you can compare our resulting hashes with an external system such as https://www.freeformatter.com/hmac-generator.html.

New documentation in our FAQ and a more readable fairness section in our bet details window will follow in the next couple of days.

It seems the activity is still similar to what it was before the downtime, that is nice to see.

We instituted an automatic kill-switch:

Every bet will now consider two pieces of information, the highest value our house profit has ever been, and the current house profit.  When the difference between those two parameters is > the assigned threshold bets are turned off.

That threshold is currently set at 2btc.

This is essentially a trailing stop-loss which is recalculated every single bet, which means if there is ever a vulnerability or hack of some sort the perpetrator would not be able to run a bot or a script with multiple accounts to violate our roll within a short period of time.  Time is irrelevant in this solution.

Good luck, have fun and be confident we are extremely secure.

This functionality, hmac sha512, a terrific provably fair system, 90/10 cold/hot wallet split minimum, IP address logging, manual account bans and bet/withdrawal kill switches, 3 dedicated partners and other factors now truly make us the most secure bitcoin casino out there.

Is this why the bets are lagging so much?

I don't notice a difference.

If you do, we'll take a look at it tomorrow.

The planned long-polling and general lag solutions will be implemented some time this week anyways and should make a significant difference.

Yes, yesterday the site was pretty laggy and I had to refresh several times because it just got stuck.

I hope your update later this week will fix it.

same problem here.

also i noticed that,the more bets i make,the more resources (RAM wise) firefox does need.could it be because of the animation u see if u win andromeda/orion? also it would be nice to have posibillity to switch this animation off.

The animation is part of it but we believe the bet data method is the real culprit atm.  Again, we will be changing that soon just got a little held up with our incident over the weekend.  The lag will be fixed soon.  Thanks for all your updates.
