Guys, this is the only bitcoin donation which is interesting.  Don't waste bitcoins on dumbass things.  Instead, support election of politicians who will support bitcoin.  http://www.coindesk.com/meet-the-us-political-candidates-who-are-embracing-bitcoin/  Please go to that site and donate a few bits to everyone.  Even if the amount is tiny, it is a HUGE statement.

Nice to see it starting. They may be windbags for the most part, but they are bit coin friendly wind bags. They are also more likely to help protect a currency that is an income stream for their campaign coffers.

An unelected regulator? What on earth for?

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

Apathy in politics is well justified because there is absolutely no obligation for politicians. They can promise something on the campaign trail and than change their mind later and history is replete with examples. The system is a bloated and festering rotted carcass that is better avoided altogether.

Just ask Charlie Schrem how working with regulators helped him and Bitcoin.

Instead of donating to a politician, support bitcoin by assisting in debugging night builds, better merchant acceptance, buy more bitcoin, spread good pr, ect....
