I'd advertise BitLotto here! Or this site could create their own system to make sure all money goes to the site and not a third party. I'd be ok either way though.

Shhhhhhhhhh.... we all CAN advertise here for free right now!
Simply visit the correct section of the forum and post your wares.
I am pretty sure that the forum owner's least concern is paying for server bills.

The BTC exchange rate rising should pay for the site just fine.

Selling out to advertisers shows you respect neither yourself nor the rest of us. --------------------------------------------------------------- Too many low-quality posts? Mods not keeping things clean enough? Self-moderated threads let you keep signature spammers and trolls out!

But the bitcoin project itself have no bitcoin from which they can pay for the cost. Sirius is paying for hosting on his own money.

Then it's up to Sirius to make any calls regarding financing, of course. I don't know how long Sirius has been involved, but probably a good while. Anyone who's been around from early on would likely have quite a few BTC stashed, so running bitcoin.org is probably a decent investment, assuming the project gains in popularity.
