It's good to see some recovery in the market Smiley Once we have a multipool up and running we will be doing that much better.
Right now I'm waiting on replies on both a new block explorer and the multipool.
I will keep people updated as i receive the information.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Yes, very good to see a little upward bounce. We really need the Dream Pool to push us to the clouds.  Block explorer is also a must have.  DRM has a bright future and is destined to succeed.  Thanks to Johnny5, Mathgamain and community for reviving DRM.  Dream on! Dreamers!   Grin

Honestly, I have always felt that giveaways cheapens a coin.  Non supporters will just immediately put them up for sale.   DRM's quantity is very low and I feel we should use the DRM bounties towards development instead.  Non Dreamers will convert once they see we're heading for the clouds.   Just my opinion. Don't take it the wrong way.  Smiley

agree, some coins with huge supply utilize giveaway strategy for market promotion.  As trademark mentioned, DRM is only with 1.85M supply, how many giveaways we need to prepare for market expectation and make it work? Now the price of DRM is still undervalued and getting recover, using giveaway may hurt all of us. Once DRM returns a reasonable price, giveaway with limited time maybe one of the choices for promotion. Is there any members with marketing expertise could help new team making marketing  strategies?

I honestly think a giveaway isnt good but a similar faucet giving out 0.01 - 1 DRM each is a much better option. Upto u

This is something I think we should make early focus on https://coinkite.com/faq/alts
They are not holding a vote for new coins now. However this should be a high priority fund raiser before they even open to new coins so when they do day one we can put down the money they require....
just my opinion but i think it would do more than any anon feature could...

How does Coinkite decide which altcoins to support?

We ultimately make a decision internally, but we use this list as the minimum requirements and we still reserve the right to choose any altcoin for any other arbitrary reason.

Must have a fiat to XXX exchange—at least one somewhere in the world.
    Two or more BTC/XXX exchanges.
Be based on bitcoin source (ie. nothing wild like ripple).
Not have a obnoxious name that we would be embarrassed to say/promote, and a commonly used three letter code.
Preferably, have a block interval of >1 minute.
Must have a blockchain explorer we can deep link into (bonus: reliable and fast).
Addresses that are not confusing compared to bitcoin (ie. different first letter is needed).
More than one major mining pool: cannot have a single pool operator controlling all blocks.
Must have client binaries for major systems such as OSX, Linux.

Finally, we need you to put your money where your mouth is! We've setup a pool for each candidate altcoin, and the first which accumulates more than ฿25 in value wins. You can vote by contributing coins, or simply by increasing the value of your altcoin relative to Bitcoin on the exchanges and in real life.

Up to 75% will be used to fund development and testing costs, and remainder donated to a charity of our choice.

Alternatively what if we use the money to day ALTs, make more money and then split money into things we need. for example 25 BTC donated today put into BC at 15000 would have yielded 50 BTC, etc.

This is just no. If people want to gamble their money they will gamble it on their own I will not do such a repulsively risky act.

I haven't heard anything from Carsen and I am seriously doubting that I will. Maybe he'll surprise me. I'm more focused on the future than the past. We made it out of what could have been a death spiral fairly quickly. Now it's time to climb

I think we can declare Carsen is no longer involved with this coin.  Lets officially state this as a community takeover and move on!

I will contribute my time and effort and get a new block explorer up an running this weekend.  If a multipool is not forthcoming, I will be working on that next week as well.

Johnny. Pretty sure if Carsen is not running the show, he doesn't want to be involved anymore.  He probably already started a couple of new coins already.  lol.

Couple things........

When we relaunch on Monday, one thing we will have to do is have a new reddit sub created.  The current Dreamcoin sub (http://ss.reddit.com/r/Dreamcoin/) is moderated by Carsen, and that could be a bad thing.  I don't know if there's a way to have that one deleted?  But since that is now taken maybe go with something like DRMcoin?

Second....for anyone that is on the fence about jumping into the NEW and improved dreamcoin, I will say that the wallet is one of the best out there, with no flaws.  With only 1.75 million coins and no mining since we are in the POS phase (so no miner dumps and it's an energy efficient coin), and coins staking at 15%, it's awesome to watch your balance grow.  For example, in the last 24 hours, I've had 13.5 DRM added to my balance.  The price seems to have stabilized around the 4-5k satoshi mark, before the relaunch, and I do believe that all the dumpers are gone (for the most part).  It's a GREAT price to get in, with real upside potential.  That 13.5 DRM addition to my wallet through staking at the current value of 4987 satoshi, ends up being 67324.5 satoshi.  Not bad for just interest!  I've had 99 staking payments deposited in my wallet during this 24 hour time period, and all but 3 have been confirmed.  Those 3 show the status as being conflicted.

Also, the buy support on Polo is 3.27 BTC.....the highest it's been in a while.

For reddit go for DreamcoinDRM, so it will pop up on google if someone searched for Dreamcoin.  Price is way undervalued. Been picking up a little more the past few days.  Still waiting on the Dream Pool.  Not sure what's the status on that.  Anyways, everything look good and bright for DRM.  It's a definite BUY right now!

i agree  a new reddit facebook and reddit are alll good ideas. I think that Carsen runs the reddit and the twitter. I am not sure about the facebook but it's good to know who has them and better if they under the dream teams control.
