very bad news for XRP IMO. but they can probably struggle through it.
There is no struggle, Ripple Labs is doing astoundingly well:

I personally think it is a good idea. I would rather Jed dump now than later. IMO this would have a larger effect if it was announced after multiple banks came on-board and XRP was trading on an all time high. It also means 1 of 3 huge XRP holders are out.

Hope yourself and Chris go ahead with the plan to sign an agreement about your respective amounts.

Original: https://xrptalk.org/topic/2629-selling-my-xrp/

The price is plummeting. What does everyone think?

Perfectly fine with me, never believed in Ripple anyway, and don't own any.

He made $40million of of this.

XRP isn't suppose to be a coin that holds value.  If bitcoin is gold, then XRP is kindling for a fire.  XRP's purpose is literally meant to be burnt.  It is an anti-spam product.  Bitcoin is suppose to be valuable in the Bitcoin network.  In the Ripple network the valuable products are the IOUs for dollars, euros, gold..... not XRP.  It is better if he dumps it.  I bought XRP before I figured this all out.  Since then it has gone down and then gone down more.  But really, it is not that big of a deal.  Ripple is a very slick payment processing tech.  Way more useful than bitcoin.  But Bitcoin is first and a different model so I invest in it more.

There is no struggle, Ripple Labs is doing astoundingly well:

This is a pure piece of corporate propaganda, baby.

The only actual number is 54 employees (may or may not be true)...
Which means they are burning through cash rapidly...
And constantly going hat in hand to venture investors.

Show me some actual REVENUE numbers for the Ripple network...
I don't care about unexplained "transaction volume" or XRP trading volume from Ripple Charts.

Post a link... and show me some hard numbers.

Chris Larsen helped start Prosper.com, another company that isn't profitable and just burns through money at an alarming rate.

Where Larsen personally faced SEC charges...
And Prosper had to carry out major regulatory changes to stay in business.

The regulators haven't even started on Ripple yet...
Because they are always in a state of chaos... and too small to matter.

They have been in business in California for 3 years...
I'm sure they have proper Financial Statements which are all RED INK...
But the Larsen's and Jed's of this world always GET FUCKING PAID in good old USD.

Not to mention the pool of volunteer program helpers they had with the bounty carrot in front that they rarely paid.

This seems odd, to have such a break is one thing, to turn around and really kill the market is another.  Maybe the other major stakeholders in xrp will make him an offer or convince him to reconsider and sell in a more orderly manner.
