Sounds extremely questionable on more than one level.
Even if true just very recently a German bank became a Ripple Gateway as I recall ? , so it's not like their not finally making some real progress.
Ripple isn't a competitor of Bitcoin or other Cryptocurrencies, many don't understand that either, but that's no surprise. Ripple can be used to transfer and send payments in any currency, cryptocurrency or otherwise.

Jed will go public if this is legit soon enough, but even so it wont cause myself to sell off any of the ripple that was given to many of us here at bitcointalk.org in early 2013.
Buy on the rumor, and sell on the news. Not the other way around.
Besides maybe it's a hostile takeover. That could be a good thing for holders of ripples long term, depending...
