Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I think you need a blockchain.info wallet to do this. You can add names and links to your addresses.

You can add tags for your addresses in blockchain.info wallet page, or add tags for any addresses in this page. https://blockchain.info/tags

Plus you can get some simple number crunchers if you want a personal BTC address like they have. Which will run the numbers and return the address with a private key.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Vanitygen will give you a custom address like Lucky have.

AFAIK, you can't. Wink
If you really want to do that, try sending a support ticket to blockchain.info.

I think he might mean vanity addresses. You need to google for vanity generators, but be careful as some of them are scams.

Thanks! Do you know any by chance? before I go googling around. Why do you say some of them are scams? Is it not good to get a custom btc address or something?  Smiley

Well they might not be secure. Some of the websites can have flaws or are set up to try scam you. They can be made safely, but you just need to be sure. Always test them with a small amount first.

I sent a request to blockchain.info asking them to remove my name and they never did.

At one point, blockchain.info scraped this site and associated user names with bitcoin addresses in signatures. They might still be doing that.

They did that automatically without asking permission?  Shocked
