i think some people are getting ahead of themselves thinking this rally will hit $1000 right away. but i certainly think we will pass $1000 sometime this year, and possibly make a new ATH even. time will tell. Smiley

I definitely think we will see above the 1000$ again this year, Im not a expert but i''m seeing alot of people gettin interested in bitcoin, and thinking bitcoin will be part of our future.
And yes I hope we will see a new all time high, and I definitely think it will happen soon, just because it went crazy last year to, ofcourse results from the past dont proof it also will happen again in the future but I certainly like to hope so!

Hehe, over-reaction (to both good news and bad news) is very common in stock markets and in bitcoin as well. Smiley

At the current run rate, $1k by the end of July is a distinct possibility
Sustainability at that level as always is the big question

It looks like the last hype was mostly because MtGox pushed the price up.
This time it looks more natural and thus should also be more stable.

at this moment we are with a $600 BTC so everybody is happy, but there are two way, the BTC will have a higher price or will fall again so we must be carefully in every single decision we make.

Even if it falls I don't think its going down below 500$ anytime sooner , unless we hear something as bad as mtgox incident. but if it goes up from here we will reach the 1k mark in no time..! 2-3 months at most..! will we sustain there only time will tell might fall down to 800$ from 1K$ but i can see it getting up there.!

Bitcoin's projected value is anywhere from $100,000 to $1mil. For all you speculators out there, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it's likely going to take 10 yrs (or more). IMO, cryptocurrency has a long road ahead of it, made even longer due to the speculators giving the general population a sense of mistrust.

LLol man. If it is that easy to predict price movement, everyone would be rich.

Nothing easy about it. I have found that most people here in bct (especially the day traders) are just looking to make a quick buck, 10-15 yrs is far too long to wait. You just don't hear people saying, "TO THE MOON... IN 10 YEARS!"

Here's the article that I read.

Rickard Falkvinge - "My prediction of a mainstream breakthrough around the year 2019 remains, and it still depends on getting mainstream usability; a target market cap may be reached about a decade after that happens, as a technology typically takes ten years from mainstream breakthrough to maturity."

$100K to $1 mil for 1 bitcoin?
What is your reasoning and logic behind that speculation? Or is it just a wild guess?

According to the waves shown in history, we will likely hit comewhere around $5000 before end of the year. This might sound rediculous. Just as rediculous as saying it would go to $250 when at 40, and saying it would go $1200 when at $100...

Some guys (that have been correct about december bubble and predicted the bottom of april-may quite accurately) said that this updrend might be bubble that can raise to 1800-1990 dollars.

The analysis they did earlier were written in a way that it was like they were sure those numbers would appear. But now when they told it's going to over 1800 dollars, they wrote it like "it _might _ go that high".. first time i see then being uncertain about prices.

Check them put: https://bitcoinbullbear.com/blog/

I don't blindly follow what they say but i check them frequently and have saved quite a bit with taking hints when might the bottom (of that current season) to appear.

(To see full blogs you would have to pay fee.. i'm not a member, i just read the free parts weekly)

I don't know how you missed it, but if you would've kept on reading two posts down you would've seen that I posted the link to the article I read that says as much.

Now, risking going off topic, the more important question here is, will people continue to mine btc once it's mined out just for the tx fees and will they have enough storage space for the huge blockchains?

For those who read the article and saw the picture of Rickard Falkvinge, who else thinks he looks like No.2 from the Austin Powers movies?!

We are still at around 50% off its all time high.

Predicting it to make new high is pre-mature at this point.
