I swear I've used the site 10 times in my life, and 7 of them the site was dead.

Now I go there and get this:

Error 522 Ray ID: 12ed4b7064fb0327
Connection timed out

You: Browser Working
Miami CloudFlare: Working
blockchain.info Host: Error

The initial connection between CloudFlare's network and the origin web server timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.
What can I do?
If you're a visitor of this website:

Please try again in a few minutes.
If you're the owner of this website:

Contact your hosting provider letting them know your web server is not completing requests. An Error 522 means that the request was able to connect to your web server, but that the request didn't finish. The most likely cause is that something on your server is hogging resources. Additional troubleshooting information here.

--------------

Why am I asking you folks?  I dont know.  Maybe if they see this thread they'll feel motivated to actually have 80% uptime.  Maybe one day 90% uptime.

They are, after all, supposed to be the most badass organization in Bitcoin right now (my opinion).

I don't think I've seen a site that is down this much since 1997.

Love,

The irritating squeaky wheel

for anyone complaining about the uptime, i have one single question for you.

i do not need the answer, i dont even care about your rebuttles and will most probably not even read your replies, so there is no point arguing.

so now here is the question and i want you to think long and hard and to be brutally honest with only yourselves as no one else cares....

.....

have you paid anything, donated anything to ensure the servers run to your high expectations?

.....

again i dont need to know the answers, i dont care about your rebuttles.. just think about that question, i mean deeply think about that question and think about not only the answer, but why i would ask such a question and what impact the answer would make to the service if you answered the question no, but then done something about it to make it a yes.

now have a nice day

Should the miners not be funding it?

I came across wrong there, should the transaction fees not cover it, surely the network doesn't need donations?!?

blockchain.info has nothing to do with the network or transaction fees.

i think some are mining "brain wallets" with apps that check every phrase and words in different languages to see if they can find a wallet to plunder.  query probably runs the generated address against blockchain.info.

It has been a little freaky tonight. It was down for quite some time and when it popped back up, I sent a hefty payment from one exchange to my wallet there about 2 hours ago and it still hasn't shown up yet. Undecided
