Here are the calculated house rakes for each step in the game:

Code:
Steps	House Rake
1 4.00%
2 10.40%
3 18.08%
4 18.08%
5 18.08%
6 21.36%
7 16.11%
8 16.11%

So, you will lose your money slower if you just take the first step and then take your winnings (or die) and never take any more steps.

Played this game twice and lost on the first step both times. Bad luck, probably, but not going to try again.

I actually made some nice profit out of it.

I've won the 5x price 2 times so far. And the referral comissions are very good.

Interesting, I'm not much of a gambler but I did notice some Bitcoin based casinos on youtube. I had a few ideas of my own using the Unity game engine and Bitcoins via php but without the gambling cliche. I know from experience that virtual casino's and lotteries don't usually last long before some kind of legality comes into play. The best method is to create your own intellectual property, give it a defined value and sell it for Bitcoins. Free to play mmorpg games with cash shop items for example.

Pretty neat.  I got the 5x a few times.  I'll calculate the probabilities and see what the best "luck" ratio is later

The breakdown of house-advantage on this game was kind of... biased.
