I won't suggest this in the Bitcoin 100 because it's probably too controversial for that project, but wouldn't erowid.org be the perfect site to accept bitcoins for donations? If you'd support the efforts of erowid.org, send them an email asking if they accept bitcoins! EDIT: DUh, on closer inspection, they already accept bitcoins! Send some their way... http://www.erowid.org/donations/donations_bitcoin.php

Well, this throws anonymity out the window: http://www.erowid.org/donations/donations_bitcoin.phpJune 10, 2011: Success : Converted 50 BTC at $28.70 per, for $1430 USD. May 13, 2011: Success: Converted 100 BTC into $800 USD. Apr 13, 2011: Success : Converted 50 BTC into $44.13 USD We successfully converted 50 BTC into USD using CoinCard into PayPal! A total of $44.13 was received, which works out to a rate of $0.8826 per Bitcoin, including transaction fees. This transaction took about an hour to go through. Apr 13, 2011: Success: Converted 96.99 BTC into $86.38 USD Using http://coincard.ndrix.com, this transaction took less than 30 minutes to complete.

Why is that ? I don't seem to understand well blockexplorer : when I check the donation address for erowid 1PkHvfna7fHNi1BnbYjFe5tRDLQZqLYLyz, which I used, I don't see my coins in the list... I sent them from an eXchanger, so I don't know the tx id nor the from address. Do I miss something ? edit: I found my tx using blockchain.info idk why it's not showing on blockexplorer...

how did you actually find that link? it's not on their donations page, and not even on their 'anonymous donations' page. nm, i see you can get to it by clicking the B logo... but it's strange that there are no other links to it.

I may have made a mistake. This would be in line with privacy, then anonymity, I believe. But the point I was trying to make is that erowid was not afraid to show how much they received via Bitcoin. And by not using a mixer, currently, they're showing the world what's still in their wallet. ~Bruno~
