It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

I don't think we're going to let guys like you post on the new forum. We gonna keep it professional. lol

A joke just for you Bruno:

hello,

My name is Jafar

I come from afar

There's a bomb in my car

Make sure you tell this joke to your friends at the next Ariana Grande concert. ROFL

Don't think for a second that theymos and I aren't aware of how you coyly evoked your false flag belief which may or may not be allowed on the new forum, circa Trump's second term.  Tongue

It would be nice if it was enabled for Tapatalk like xda. That's where I got started with forums. Then it would be hell of a lot easier to access on mobile

I wonder how much custom work has been done on this forum.
I also don't want half the shit people want for "upgrades"

Part of the appeal of this place was that it is what it is.. SMF.
The familiarity and ease of use and simplicity etc is a good thing.

I would vote for common sense.
No need for radical changes.. just revamp the stuff that OBVIOUSLY needs it.

For example.. the Trust System ?
Is it going to be fixed ?
People want it "Different" but that means opening one hell of a can of worms.

I wonder if people gave much thought to the negative effect of the changes they asked for.
I also am done with "updates" on pretty much anything.
I would shove a gun in my mouth before using Windows 10 for example.
Updates = Bullshit.
99% of my software on my PC was frozen years ago forever.

Hell i have ruined my own programs by "updating" LOL

I sort of hope the new forum never gets released actually.
I can't see it doing much good.
More than likely they will fuck up more shit than fix.
And when i seen the screen-cap earlier about the "HTML coming back after an edit" i cringed.
God can only imagine how much of a swiss cheese pit of insecurity this shit will end up being.
Get it ?
BCT has evolved thus far.. the hacks that happened before helped make this place more secure NOW !
We will be repeating all that from scratch later.
How many hacks will the new forum have ?
The one we got had 3 i think.. at least since i got here in 2013.

anyway.. blame the NSA ..they keep submitting snooping feature requests.
Auto dump data to their servers was probably implemented first.
I'd be stunned if they were not behind a hack here or perhaps in full co-operation with theymos before.
Do you all realize that US run services are US govt compliant ?
Can you all think of any reason why US 3 letter agencies might have any interests in users here ?
Remember when the IRS sued Coinbase for mass records ?
yet they never sued theymos ?
I don't think they had to.. i think he happily gives them what ever they want.
And he he would have no choice either.

I was loud when VPN's took off in popularity.
I kept telling people it's a false sense of security..
I was unanimously mouthed off an laughed at.
Since ? Years later a long line of compromises services and many "I told you so's"
The govt's MO is to show up at the door with a warrant and 12 guys with guns.
Anyone at the door says.. yes sir.. right away sir or sits in Guantanamo bay.
Then what we seen in the news is the cops turn on logging with the VPN then allow the service to keep running..

If they show up at theymos door he will say how high.. when they say jump.
It's the law.
What do you do when they kick your door in with a warrant and guns ?
You slurp that cock hard !

Enjoy your false sense of security douche nozzles LOL
Worry about tipping & shit for the new forum that comes one day.

TRIVIA:
Who here on this topic admitted many times on the forum to being an FBI informant ?
I'll give you a hint he *REALLY* likes to talk to people here on the phone.

In re your last comment, if you're alluding to me, I'm not an informant but have spoke with them considering major investigations, but not of late. As for talkin' to people (users) on the phone, not that much.

PM me if you were referencing some other, bud.

Does your sentiment echos Leroy Fodor's "USELESS forum"?

<the following humor at theymos' expense>

Spoetnik, rumor has it that it'll cost ~U$3M to keep this USELESS forum as it is.  Tongue

<nonhumor>

I've grown fond of this platform, albeit I can't search this forum like I used to, only able to search 5 sections at a time when it's most desirable to search the entire forum. Hey, maybe theymos is purposely hampering my activities so not to inform ...  Roll Eyes Shocked

Dude, I think you missed what I was alluded to. I was fond of the old search prior to some dude named theymos  Tongue fixing the site, now only able to search five sections at a time. Yes, I could, and have used Google, but that only works if the thread was indexed by them, which some threads are not like the trust rating of each and every member of this forum aren't indexed, thus how the hell is the world gonna find out that I'm a scammy ass fuck according to the venerable Leroy "Honestly" Fodor who tagged this and some of my alts, along with a another user's account who I cleverly tricked him into thinking it was me because Leroy is a fuckin retard?

I love this USELESS<according to Leroy Fodor> forum.  Kiss Kiss Kiss

Probably sometime next year.

Yes.

How far into development is the new forum software? Could a beta be released sometime this year?

Just registered here and quite suprised to see the most important forum for one of the most high-tech topics in today's society to be running on such an old software. So it's good to see that there is work done on the new version. Not gonna lie, I do hope the new release comes sooner rather than later, this version feels super retro to me.

I've been using this forum since 2013 and although I find this forum software quite powerful,  there's something I would kill for: better mobile experience.

Nowadays most of us access the internet on the go,  reading cryptocoin  related news,  trading with TabTrader, tweeting etc. The only pain I experience on a daily basis is reading and posting in this forum using a smartphone screen. If you manage to fix that there's nothing I would else need for the rest of my life.
