there is no minimum it will just take a bit till your coins gain enough weight to find a pos block but the more time it takes the larger the payout will be due to the time that has passed. more coins = more weight and coins + time + more weight as well. deff lolz for the people that don't know the meaning of longterm... here's a tip only invest what your willing to sit on, that way your not eagerly waiting for the price to move, lol although I don't mind gtting dumped on when I've got buy orders up

Was wondering how this worked. Will be sure to get back into this coin as I use to have some when it was the old 2014 coin and then exchanged some. Seeing that is also on a few exchanges might go and buy up some and let it stake out and see how much stake is generated over x amount and time to stake it.

ok can anyone help me here? out of nine "mint by stake" transactions, only two have been accepted. staking 120-odd coins that I bought about 7 days ago and the ones unconfirmed have been values of 8, 12, 12, 14, 14, 21 etc.. the ones accepted were just 3 or 4 coins each (even after larger unaccepted amounts). So after 6 days of staking I've only gained 7 coins with about 83 coins in unaccepted transactions. Wallet showing four active connections and still supposedly staking fine, now weight is 579 - but transactions keep not being accepted. computer is on & staking all the time and not sure quite what's going wrong. Meanwhile coin has halved in price of course. Off to bed now but thanks for any help or light you can shed Cheers - John

Is your clock the correct time? I would update it using the Internet sync function.

thanks very much to @d2dtk & @iGotSpots for those answers checked my internet & it's 15Mbps up & 10 down, keeping ethernet cable from laptop to router to make sure that's constant. Tried a few "fixes" for errant clocks suggested by apple support groups but tbh looked exactly in time to me so internet & clock don't seem to be the reason for the orphans. anyway we'll see what happens the next couple of days. thanks for the support

ah the old port-opening, ha ha I spent hours trying to sort that out for the NEM client & never managed. thanks for the tip but I am crap with Terminal on the Mac & the risk of screwing up my internet again is real (wife would not be impressed)... so I've sprung for gorillastake for MMXIV, gonna drop another 0.2 BTC on the coin as well & stake it via there. Let's see if Fred was just early enough & I'm too late again or if the idea has legs (while I wait for NEM to launch!) thanks for the advice anyway @ThePeePs & if there is any simple tutorial to do with all that port stuff you can point me to please do - but you have better things to do than wait around while I try to understand it I'm sure...

Smart RG SR505n. Thanks for asking. Getting a bit annoying as 5-7 active connections to network, clock seems ok, good internet speed on wired connection & so far have minted 24 coins in a week with 118 not accepted. Last two accepted were 6 & 10, last two rejected were 27 & 30 coins respectively! So the sooner I get this port opened or gorillastake going the better. Anyone in Canada ordered keys yet & know how long they take to arrive? Thanks John

Just so you guys know, these dumps are from someone pretending to be me and scamming people. Many emails, IRC messages, and PM's about me being in dire circumstances are not true. I appreciate all of you guys that sent him coins thinking I was in trouble, but I am more than ok and I will never ask for help, funds, or off market trades from anyone

Crazy world .... by the way: Staking is great profit, even when the price has been falling, there is no way to dump this coin out of existence, its one of the most profit generating altcoins ... lucky us .

Anyway I do like the coins Mr Scamer dump more Coins for me I have to stake the hell out of them. I am impressed: The price may reflect the dumping, but any time, the dump has a break, the coin goes back and grows. The market is very staple and we will sooner run out of dumpers, then run out of stakers, bright future .

The market is very staple and we will sooner run out of dumpers, then run out of stakers, bright future Wish I lived in your world. There is no shortage of dumpers. There are 22 people with over 1000 coins and over 135 people with over 100 coins. These 135 people are not going to just hold their coins forever despite the high stake rate.
