At least half a dozen candidates were intimidated out of the election and the remaining candidates all have strong ties to the neo-Nazi Right Sector. This election is as meaningless as the North Korean presidential election.

Very low turnout in TransCarpathia and Odessa for the fake elections (around half of the national average). Now, the Right Sector may send in their extremists to those provinces, for ballot stuffing.

I guess we just need to wait for the US State Department's announcement of who they (s)elected to be the (p)resident of Ukraine.  Grin
And the insider info, in the face of Timoshenko, says the next round will be on the 15 of June, when Ukraine's joining NATO will be rubber-stamped.

I think that they have already finalized on the billionaire chocolate king, after realizing that Tymoshenko's reputation is damaged beyond repair.  Grin Poroshenko's net worth right now is around $1.3 billion. I hope that he will be able to increase it to $13.0 billion by the end of his term.

Seems you are right:

Poroshenko (also known as Valtsman) just announced about his victory in the (s)elections, based on data from the exit polls:
http://www.gazeta.ru/politics/news/2014/05/25/n_6180341.shtml

According to him 85% of people of Ukraine supported the "European choice of Ukraine".

85% of the Western and Central Ukraine, that is...

Well, I guess he is going to be the second Gauleiter Erich Koch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erich_Koch) of Washington-ruled Reichskommissariat Ukraine...

From http://rt.com/news/161360-ukraine-presidential-election-timeline/

17:09 GMT:

This video – which, according to the description was filmed in the port city of Odessa - shows a violation of the voting process at one of polling stations.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_UFyjGbvMQ

The urns were not sealed and they had ballots pre-filled in them.

US don't need to perform any fraud because presidents are appointed by electoral college, not elected by people. Smiley

If I recall the group that won this election originates from a Neo-Nazi group
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svoboda_%28political_party%29
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-hughes/the-neo-nazi-question-in_b_4938747.html

As for the election itself if they lost it would have been condemned as rigged
Since they won they are singing praises so i see a double standard myself.

Seems like Poroshenko has won in the first round, with Tymoshenko getting less than 15% of the votes. America's other darlings, the neo-Nazis Oleg Liashko and Dmytro Yarosh received less than 10% combined.

10 facts you need to know about Ukrainian presidential poll
http://rt.com/news/161276-ukraine-election-useful-facts/

Hmm... I knew of many of those, but two escaped my radar. I am quoting them below:

Quote
Fact 1

Presidential powers were considerably reduced in favor of the parliament right after the coup in Kiev. Oligarch Petr Poroshenko is likely to win office, according to public opinion polls. But after swearing an oath he, lacking his own party in the parliament, may find himself deadlocked on governmental decisions with Batkivschina (Fatherland) Party. Batkivshchina has strong contingent of MPs and is headed by Poroshenko’s main competitor, Yulia Tymoshenko.

Quote
Fact 6

The self-proclaimed governments of Donetsk and Lugansk said they would derail the election in their respective regions. But it will be considered valid anyway by Kiev. Actually, it will be considered valid even if it takes place in one constituency only. The new authorities amended the election bill to remove the minimum turnout requirement.

So, basically, Timoshenko and her puppeteers will rule, while Poroshenko is just a face to take any eventual blame. And the result was indeed stacked up right from the start.

'Vote at gunpoint,' anyone? US keen to legitimize 'good' election in Ukraine
http://rt.com/news/161408-us-ukraine-support-election/

Quote
A team of American lawmakers is in Ukraine to observe the presidential election which Washington has called a historic milestone and provided over US$ 11.4 million to support the vote despite ongoing violence in eastern Ukraine.

US senators Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Benjamin Cardin (D-Maryland) arrived in Ukraine’s capital Kiev as a part of the American monitoring mission. The US team is led by former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright.

...

"Throughout the last few months, the Ukrainian people have repeatedly demonstrated their desire to choose their leaders without interference and to live in a democracy where they can determine their own future free of violence and intimidation," the US president said in a statement. "This election is another important step forward in the efforts of the Ukrainian government to unify the country and reach out to all of its citizens to ensure their concerns are addressed and aspirations met."

...

“That is not something that can be done with the barrel of a gun pointed at you,” President Obama and said earlier this year, at a meeting with Ukraine’s acting Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

Kiev has unleashed the army against those in the east of Ukraine who don’t want to be under its control.

...

“We are fully aware…that it will no longer be possible to hold in a normal way elections on the vast territory of Donesk and Lugansk regions,” Arsen Avakov told a media conference.

That does not change anything for the coup-imposed government in Kiev who amended the election bill to remove the minimum turnout requirement.

Even after all that ballot stuffing, less than half the people voted in the provinces of Kharkov and Odessa. And there was hardly any polling in the Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts.

The image is pretty consistent with the previous elections, only this time, just to be on the safe side, the East didn't have anyone to vote for:
