I Also have some ideas for Donations.
Think about it (if one person gets 5x $10 donation $5 going to their local volunteer fire departments and $5 buying blaze coin for an investment then asking those 5 people to find 5x $10 donations)
Could easily be marketed as Donation & investment for volunteer fire fighters. People will have intensive to find more people for donations because blz will rise in the process.

Living in Australia there are many bush fires and we all like to help when we can.

This coin is a lot better than your typical pump and dump scamcoin.

Could change the world in a very positive way.

Any new news or plans for the coin?

plans:

1. keep the network and markets active
2. looking for price stability [not rapid capital growth]
3. THEN donate to local Volunteer Fire Stations, they can use paper wallets for fund raisers and fun. And hope they realize that this coin actually trades on the internet.
4. Keep expanding on point 3. Crypto is all about volunteerism ... fire fighters / fire districts have a great deal of knowledge on how to making it actually WORK!

if one person gives $10 donation to their local volunteer fire departments they can get 500 BLZ as a receipt/thank you.

we will need to play with the numbers, depends on how many BLZ get donated to the cause ... but pegging 1 BLZ = 1 penny sounds pretty neat.

I've been buying BLZ lately but the markets have taken a life of their own. I'm holding for the long term. The appreciation in price has been nice and steady. Any word about the IAFC, IAFF projects?

I ported the blazecoin spec to litecoin 0.10 codebase. source is here:

i can load the booststrap file, so it works. but use at own risk!

The blazecoin gui design is not ported, it look like a normal litecoin wallet.

Known issue: slow daemon/wallet stop, i dont know why.

i think it cannot read the old block files, you have to redownload the blockchain.
(but you can make a bootstrap file from existing data: cat blocks/blk*.dat >bootstap.dat and use google how to use the bootstrap.dat file!)

Blazecoin network ok? I saw some funny moves last night on Hash 2 Coins...then it got removed. Walet seems ok.
