So I gauge that this topic is more of a statement, but I'll take it as a discussion for whether we are on the verge of another bubble of new money entering the market.

How many is 'enough' if you don't mine me asking?

I bought 1.97 BTC in total, but have traded my way to stay in profit, one of the BTC I bought was over $1000 :O

i haven't bought any in over a year.. bitcoin's too volatile for my blood. i guess i'm just conservative like that. i'm well aware that whatever amount i have, there's a good chance it will be worth nothing.

I still don't know if I really want to buy some ...

The main problem is that I would have to contact a seller, make him a bank transfer and it takes forever and it's boring ...

I wish there was an ATM in my city  Tongue

Good man Jonald! You've been in this space long enough to know BTC price index is volatile - but it's still crazy cheap compared to what everyone on here thinks it has potential to reach!

Lost my job last year, but if I was still salaried  - I would be tempted to put 45% into BTC each month regardless of price.

Are you in the US? If you're in the UK, I can recommend a brilliant site where you can complete the whole buying process in less than an hour. In fact, sometimes it only takes 10 minutes. Everyone single one of my BTC were bought through it.

Thought mentioning it might constitute spamming & I don't want to lose my signature progamme.

From January to December every year since inception Bitcoin has risen AT LEAST 2.50x it's value.  If the pattern doesn't waiver, you should profit.

I'm planning to buy all the way to 1500, then sit back and wait for the top.

My thinking is this: Whenever we have a rally towards a new ATH it is followed by a drop to somewhere above the previous ATH. Last ATH was 266, and it dropped to 380 or so. Current ATH is just over 1k, so the next bottom is likely to be in the 1500-2000 range.

Unfortunately it will be another month until I have any spare fiat, but oh well.

Yep, last night (or this morning) after the huge run-up to 586, I waited for a pullback and it just crashed 26 points within minutes to $560ish.

Brought up Coinbase and bought at 563 and 564... but I only 1/2 bitcoin worth.

Maybe not now, but in a few years? I can already see people posting about how they wish they had had the foresight to buy ONE. WHOLE. COIN. back when it was still cheap at 10k.

It does seem like we're rolling again. I would think in the next month we'll take a shot at at least $800 or maybe even $1000. Seems the logical place to go. We might now take out those numbers but is be surprised if it stopped now or at $700.

It could be a difficult act to follow this time around. The fact that it shot up so much means that trying to maintain at least 2.5x growth is nuts. Hell, we may be looking at shrinkage this year, who knows.

Interesting point you make though.

You're right that we're not on track but I remember when I thought the same thing when it lingered at 100 USD for months until it shot to 300 and then eventually 1,150 within a month.

We'll see -- hopefully it does follow the trend we've seen thus far.
