I've been looking around, and it seems that it takes quite a while to turn $ into BTC. I have a Paypal account, but it's currently empty. I have $50 in a checking account (connected to a Visa debit card) that I would like to turn into BTC. What's my best course of action?

Tips are appreciated (very tiny tips are perfectly okay!) 13gDRynPfLH3NNAz3nVyU3k3mYVcfeiQuF

18 views and no replies? Okay, I'll tip 1 BTC for a suitable answer (once I have some BTC).

Anything faster than this? This should still take a week, unless I'm missing something.

Check out my website. If you are in the USA, sending cash by mail is pretty fast.

If your paypal is connected to your credit card (checking account one you mentioned) then you should be able to do this quickly in a few hours.  I used this service and got my coins in 30 mins or less.

Coinpal doesn't appear to accept this method of payment. Unless you're saying that Paypal should get the money quickly?

Yes, when you send a payment to coinpal using credit card, paypal takes from your credit card and sends to coinpal basically instantly.  If you do an e-check debit to your checking account there is a 3 day delay.

All of this assumes you have a standard verified account with paypal.  If you have a checking account connected to it you probably do.  Again, you want to pay by credit card through paypal if you want this to be fast.

If your bank offers Popmoney service, that's definitely the way to go. It's usually free, requires minimal if any setup since it's through your bank, and the recipient can see that the funds are good immediately. Is your bank on this list?:
