His time is worth far more than what it takes to roll a pack. But I think he did try that in the past, and said it wasn't the same.
I really find that hard to believe at ~10-12 seconds per cigarette.
But yeah, unless you have the experience, they don't burn as evenly.
He makes around $75 per hour if he worked 40 hours a week for a year. However, he works far less than that (afaik), and makes the same annual salary. Established audio composer man, freaking rich.
