The remittance market could be huge for Bitcoin and I think could see a very rapid growth if it catches on.
This is why BitPesa was created; the service’s beta, which currently involves roughly 15 Kenyans living in London, will seek to test the success of the newly implemented remittance service. If successful, BitPesa may eliminate the billions of dollars currently lost in the fees of the trade. Its founders believe that if the program is well-received that it could go as far as to spark a major technological upsurge throughout Kenya.
Nice to see it's some of their own countrymen starting this service. Hopefully they won't try rob people by charging extortionate but slightly less than the banks/western union fees.
