Hi fellas!

 I would like to promote the P2Pool!!

 During 30 days, I'll donate a small amount almost everyday to the P2Pool miners!

NOTE: For both Litecoin and Bitcoin P2Pool miners (at a random time during day).

 For the Bitcoin P2Pool miners:

 * In the period 10/02/2012 until 17/03/2012 I'll give 1.5 BTC / day;

 For the Litecoin P2Pool miners:

 * In the period 10/02/2012 until 10/03/2012 I'll give 200 LTC / day;

 My idea is to promote P2Pool technology and its miners...

 If you have any interest and don't know how to join P2Pool, please, read my guide here:

 A Complete Guide to P2Pool - For Ubuntu Linux...:

164 users mined for the last block (https://blockexplorer.com/block/0000000000000027aafb3b399eb60be707ceb402259cd4b018c91b4ff41ac5a9). I am pretty sure it's not 1btc each he'll be sending Wink

LOL ... what do common sense and basic mathematics have to do with mining?

LOL

Just to be clear, I'll run almost every day:

To Bitcoin P2Pool miners:
bitcoind sendmany "" "$(wget -O- http://MY_P2POOL:9332/patron_sendmany?total=1.0)"

To Litecoin P2Pool miners:
litecoind sendmany "" "$(wget -O- http://MY_P@POOL:9327/patron_sendmany?total=200)"

Best!

It runs it better, same as it runs any server software better than WinBlows from M$. Also, ThiagoCMC has written an excellent Linux guide for P2Pool setup.

I've read it, with the same effort you could probably dial some planets with a Stargate...

I have no problems with cgminer on Windows, it runs fine and installing it and p2pool is much faster

I can help you out... In fact, if you install Ubuntu 11.04 64 bits at your mining rig, and install TeamViewer6, I can set it up for you.  Wink
Including Catalyst, SDK and the latest CGMiner...

Simple:

P2Pool is written in Python.
Python is a native language of Ubuntu, Debian and any other professional Linux distribution.
So, it was build for Linux!
P2Pool for Windows is a workaround for me... lol

Well, good for you! I had all world's problems with Windows (3.11, 95 and 98), so, never used it again... When I tried Windows 7, it frozen in one day of use... So, it is the same crap of the past with new icons...
Did you have any benchmark to compare each other?

Dats off topic! *flails*

I really dont see how running P2pool with Linux would SomeHow make it run faster than P2Pool running on windows...

I love how mac is sitting all alone and lonely in the corner, being ignored by everybody  Grin

By the way, I had no idea there was a Litecoin P2Pool. Do you need a separate special P2Pool for that, or just point P2Pool to your Litecoin port?
