Not misleading at all. The full title is "Bitcoin in China – First Bitcoin ATM Installed by Robocoin." your claim is missleading.

Thought exchange in China can no longer accept deposit?

ATM by its very nature is a deposit accepting machine.

Its more like a spending money machine too, you have some bitcoins, you can withdraw them in the machine in exchange for fiat.

Right now in China, banks are not allowed to do business with Bitcoin related companies. That is all. A Bitcoin ATM doesn't use a bank. I don't know why most people on this forum are unable to comprehend this and keep screaming "Bitcoin Ban! Bitcoin Ban!"

First by Robocoin!

Read your title for this thread. Read that article. Both say that it is the first Bitcoin ATM in China.

The first Bitcoin ATM in China was installed in a cafe at a technology park in Shanghai in April: http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/04/16/us-china-bitcoin-idUSBREA3F0MK20140416

Bitcoin will prosper, but we are the dinosaurs of it ( not saying we will disappear) it just want time to get popularity!
Just be patient and wait for the  moment Smiley

You are right. I read it again and my first impression was wrong. The author of that article has no clue.

That's interesting. I wonder if the workarounds for China's new banking regulations concerning Bitcoin will be enough to make it legit in the eyes of the powers-that-be.

As per the article a BTC ATM has been installed by robocoin. As far as I know this is not the first BTC ATM in China.

Regardless this is good for bitcoin.
