I know it's possible someone already asked this before, but I would really appreciate a step-by-step guide, since I'm afraid of doing something wrong and losing my bitcoins. Can anyone help me? Smiley

If you have the deterministic backup, you really cant lose your btc.

Make sure you have a backup, then just download the new version to your desktop and install.
