Somewhere around 520-530, I am a bit lazy to go and look at the exact numbers. But it feels pretty good to be floating around in the $600s now, I must say.  Smiley

My average price was about 590$, I bought back in March but wasn't a good deal because since then it only went lower... until these last days of rally.

My average price was around 520.30 I bought some in April but like Dolanduck that price wasn't a good deal because since then it only went lower down to the 400 450 dollar range until this recent rally although now it is in the green so that is nice.

Average Price and coin volume would be interessting.
Don't care about 0.01btc buys.

Trading with pennys is easy, but where are the 10btc+ traders? All bought below 400$ this year or still sitting on the 2010-2013 coins?

Last significant buy for me (and lowest in 2014) was at 460 to 470, on May 20. But that's not really a meaningful metric for me... I tend to look at the average of my coins by calculating [total money sent to exchange] - [money taken out of exchange] / [total no. of coins during 100% xbt position]

What would be the best way of calculating the average price weighted by volume? I'd like to do that.

About $450.  I was buying through April and May after being a skeptic.  20% of my coins were under bought $400 by sheer luck.

Right now, I have enough fiat in an exchange to buy 1 more coin and will do it later today.  I haven't decided whether to keep buying slowly after that; I already hit my goal for number of coins and adding a few percent more seems trivial.

if you hit your goal - why not buy a little more so you have some BTC to play with when the price goes up?

About 500 for me. And it was more than 0.1 of them.

Same, I've been buying in with any fiat I get my hands on, and will continue to do so for a long time.

eg

Code:
price  qty  order value

$400   1     $400
$450   2     $900
$500   3     $1500

sum(order_value) / sum(qty) => $2800 / 6 => $466.67

I bought for the first time at 449 a couple days before it jumped...then also at 631....then again at 651.

I sold my first two buys for a nice profit above 650 and currently just hold my 651 coin.

I watched from the sidelines for a long long time before I went in...
