Single bitcoin price was a little shaky yesterday. I was a little concerned to watch it goes below $555 yesterday. But TODAY it's $601.307 as of 3:33pm Eastern Standard Time. Who's going to protect the surge?

For long-term holders, we are expecting another bubble.  This is just further confirmation.  We should see gradual rises to $800-$1000 in June and then an explosion in July.

The fact that so many people seem to believe that there will be a big bubble in late Summer will probably become a self fulfilling prophecy.

the best thing is, if this prophecy is fulfilled (self-fulfilling or not) it will also confirm the trend even more and thus a new prophecy will pop up 8 months later, rinse and repeat.

Do bubbles always pop or can they just be considered rapid growth that is sustainable?

No, serious question Smiley

It depends, if the growth is too rapid and the price is pumped by hype, the bubble will pop.
But if the rally is steady, slow and supported by new adopters among people and merchants, it won't.

The price moves between the upper and lower trend line. "Bubbles" are merely a move from the lower trend line to the upper. They tend to move quickly because enough people bought at the lower or good news, etc.

When it reaches the upper trend line there is nowhere to go but down...so people try to cash out before everyone else. It bounces back and forth between the two.

I believe this trend will end when the ETFs go public, then it will stabilize.

I agree although this time personally I am going to be careful and make sure to liquidate a little more at the new all time high if it reaches these levels and then wait for the trend to speak for itself still in enough of the early adoption stage to adjust positions.

What makes you think the bubble will begin in only 1-2 months? That is an extremely short timeframe given that the decline preceeding it lasted 5 months. It is assymettrical.

The bubble tends to be followed by a very long period of sideways trading
