vertcoin mining issues

I've got  litecoin mining rig hashing at  800 khs per card( r9 290x) and trying to convert to vertcoin but will only has at 150 khs per card what is the most important setting to adjust to increase the hash rate.

you need -I 20 with 290-290x, i found that 25601 is good enough
