V. 0.5.18

Hello,

I just saw that in the MultiBit transaction history the value in FIAT is computed for all transactions with the current BTC/FIAT price.

I would like to see, how the FIAT price was at the time of the transaction. So I would request to add a column "FIAT price at time of transaction" and in there store the FIAT price.

Best Regards

This is a GREAT idea! One I've wanted for a long time. Actually, it's a BIG reason I don't use Multibit very much, except to store some of my coin make a few larger purchases. I do most all my spending in Coinbase -- almost entirely because of the reports they generate that can be used especially well for tax reporting. Even if you've decided not to comply with the IRS guidance and report your bitcoin dispositions on your income taxes, you have to create your own spreadsheets and keep them up to date to do any sort of historical examination of your transactions in Multibit. If you've decided to do the IRS required reporting, then Multibit is no help at all with your requisite record keeping.

Tax reporting for bitcoin transactions?  What planet are you guys on.

You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

Yes as this has been a popular request in MBHD we are storing:

The exchange rate, currency and exchange used when you generate a payment request.

Also the exchange rate, currency and exchange used when you receive the corresponding transaction.

You can view these in an expanded 'Transaction Details' wizard and they get exported so that you can import them into a spreadsheet.
