Hi folks.

I'm just getting into this mining lark.
I've got 3 antminer U2+ units and fit a bfl 30ghz box cheep off ebay.

Currently I'm not expecting to make any ROI... More a thing of interest.

However is there any profitability with mining? I'm seeing people say that even the S1's are no longer retuning the ROI.

Any thoughts? Any advice?

Cheers

This has been beat to death and recently. Please read through the forum, you will get all the answers you need.

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

It is a bit too late, as OP has already bought the ASICs "cheap" off ebay...
On the bright side, he is mining for fun. Cheesy

Sorry to tell you, but I don't think you can get ROI at all, unless you get extreme luck in solo-mining...

No mining equipment out in 2014 has been shown to make ROI (BTC --> BTC back).  The rare cases in 2013 were Batch 1 of Avalon and a few KNC orders early on.

Mining is for supporting the network and having fun (and maybe anonymous block rewards if you need that).

Don't forgot the first couple of batches of the Antminer S1. Some did make their money back in 2 moths.

These days, there is nog equipment on the market with a resoable ROI.

I wouldnt suggest you to invest into mining right now, you wont make it ROI better buy the coins directly instead.

This is the worst moment to invest in mining equipment (maybe only scrypt should be ok),
just buy bitcoins from an exchange and hold, you will gain way more money in this way.

Mining for profit?Huh Lol. As other have stated above, for new comers, unless you have ton of money/bitcoins/expertise, it's not worth mining, you are FAR better off just buying bitcoins.
