that the question you should have asked before...
If you don't know why you are buying stuff don't buy it.
personnally not knowing what to do with it, I would have bought the Titan Z or the R9-295x
(actually I know what I would do with it: upgrade my power supply  )
now what ?

Until you have done your homework, I will suggest you to mine ducknote (actually very good coin and will let you time to think about what to mine the 750ti)

I did my research.

It was time for an upgrade from my GTX 460 for the game I play,, Shogun 2.

If I can mine in the meantime it's a bonus.

Put in the basic commands to mine X11.  Here's an example .bat:

C:\path to your\ccminer50.exe -t 1 --algo=x11 -o stratum+tcp://west01.us.trademybit.com:4440 -u yourworker.4 -p yourpass

you should get about 2 Mh/s on your card which is pretty amazing and there's supposed to be a ccminer update coming soon that may push it beyond 2 Mh/s.  For comparison, 280x cards are getting 3 to 3.3 mh/s on X11 but they consume 3 times as much power.  I know you're on hydro or Zero cost electricity so that doesn't matter... in that case  you may want to go scrypt...

if you want to do scrypt you can just do cgminer or sgminer which is just as easy to setup.  I just think the efficiency of 750 ti on X11 is phenomenal and worth considering.  Even more so if/when the next ccminer update comes.  Go read the cudaminer thread.  Just ctrl+f and word search "cuda" for the latest cudaminer and ccminer discussions.

even if he have free electricity, 1 280x cost like 2 x 750ti, which are equal to 4.4 MH/s..easy choice you have there

also the efficiency on jackpotcoin algo is even better, compared to amd

Okay, but let's be realistic: using jackpotcoin as a comparison is very risky because of volatility.  Maybe it's worth it right this second or maybe it's been the FotM.  But basically, I never disagreed with anything you replied with and you repeated what I posted.  Everyone knows the 750 ti is the best value right now but that is always changing based on variables like algos, electricity, newer cards...  So, as far as asking if DRK or jackpot or any algo is "worth" it... just depends on the market at any given time.  I'm interested to see AMD's answer to the 750 ti: the AMD 300 series is supposed to be power efficient like the 750 ti.  And... NVidia's next gen is supposed to be the 800 series with similar power efficiency of the 750 ti but with even better hashes.  Let's not forget about the miners that are always changing: merging kernels was a huge step forward with 40% boosts for AMD cards in X11.

But to the OP's question: just a matter of what he/she wants to put into it.  Could mine individual coins or could do multipools if the interest is in value and what's "worth it" then the OP will have to be willing and able to shift as the market trends shift.

Mine what ever algo is profitable at the moment, then trade for DRK on an exchange. Dark isn't to profitable to mine direct unless you have major hashrate.

very helpful for someone not knowing anything about cryptos... and that was in part the reason of my first comment.
The gtx750ti might be a good card for mining, but alone, it won't get you mostly nothing unless you know already about cryptos.

You can very well point it at nicehash or to some other multipool, but what you will get will be really small.

(however it is certainly enough to get interested in cryptos... but not to make money)
