Hey guys I am wondering about the relationship between these two because I am not getting any response from gox's socketio but I just went to mtgoxlive.com and it looked like it was working as normal (it appears to be updating slowly but working).

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Goxlive has been updating about every ten minutes for the last day and a half. Not the normal real time update like it's supposed to have.

I believe Clark moody and BTCCharts both use socket.io, and both seem fine.
