Playing around with the miner software makes a difference too .. some pools work better with the dwarfpool builds .. others with sgminer and diff-multiplier flag. For example on suprnova I seem to have more luck with sgminer with multiplier and on nicemining and omarspools the dwarfpool build works better ... this is my personal experience though ... just try and find your sweet spot/software
