I'm gonna name my kid LOA DING. Cause of loading screens.

Just kidding I had a vasectomy, I'm not a moron after all. Children are a terrible thing to do to oneself, for a myriad of reasons. $18,000 / year being eighteen thousand of them.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

Depends on where do you live. In a multicultural society, there won't be many problems and the name will be accepted. But in case if you are residing in a homogeneous community, then the name will be a bit odd.

if you were non-asian looking, it would be kinda weird to see him named satoshi.. but then would make him more unique, so why not? if it seems gaudy, no problem.. he can just tell people that his parents gave him his name.

I have to agree with beetcoin and keithers. It would seem a bit weird if you were non-Japanese or whatever, but lots of kids seem to get given weird names these days so it might not be too bad.

I just want to warn you, that giving your kid a bad name could significantly lower his chances to become successful.
After all, everyone pre-judges based on stupid details like a name e.g. in a job interview.
But I can't tell if Satoshi is a bad name in this case

I personally wouldn't do it. I wouldn't call my kid Dollar or Cent either.

When they become a rapper they can always start calling themselves 50 Satoshis if they wish.

Satoshi is a nice name in my opinion. I just hope your wife would not mind.

Satoshi is just a regular Japanese name anyway, it's totally. It the same as calling a kid dollar or cent.

Kids were also named Frank and Mark (France and German currency) but that does not mean you should call your kids pound or euro.

In fact the unit satoshi has been named after a (fictional) person, so naming another person after satoshi is not weird.

It's ok for Africans. They call their kids Payphone, US NAVY, Lenin. Why not Satoshi?
