I struggled to post my last experience with Zoomhash because I've had good experiences with them in the past but think this is important for the community to know.

I recently purchased an Xtreme (VMOD 2) overclocked G-Blade that was advertised to run at 1050 hertz (7.5 mH/s).  Very soon after purchase I received an email telling me that the blade was shipped but without a tracking number.  After five days of not getting a tracking number or any other update, I contacted support and they said they'd look into it and that I would be reimbursed for my "mining profits" after five business days of waiting.  After a few more days of not hearing anything, I again contacted support and received essentially the same response.  Finally the blade arrived a week late in a broken down home depot box.  I was very excited to receive the shipment but found a letter in the box from "Seven Gnomes" (evidently the contractor who does the over clocking) which rated the VMOD 2 at 938 hertz - this produces about 6 mH/s, a full 1.5 mH/s less than what was advertised.  I hoped the letter was a typo and when I started clocking the blade over 950 hertz the blade started to overheat and cause massive hardware errors.

When I contacted Zoomhash about the issues and the "mining profits" they decided not to return my e-mails.  So when you see Zoomhash making promises, buyer beware.  At least for me, they sold me on promises they later refused to honor and they may do it to you too.

That's pretty bad, I think they are having some issues right now.  Today I got an email from them stating they will not honoring my order of Zeusminer Blizzards see email below:
Quote
Dear Customer,

Thank you for being a Zoomhash.com Customer.
As many of you know, there are still some power consumption issues with the Wolf/Blizzard Scrypt Asic. Until those are resolved, we do not feel comfortable shipping the units out to our customers.
Therefore, we would like to offer two options for our valued customers that purchased these items:
 1. Apply the credit from the Blizzard/Wolf order to an 80 Chip Gridseed Blade Unit @ 5.2-5.6MHs. We will also give you a special price of $650 per unit for these units.
or
 2. Full Refund

If you need further assistance, please call us at (888) 933-5282 and press 802 for Bob.
Please respond directly to this email on the choice you would like. If we do not receive an answer within 24 hours, we will automatically do a full refund on the order.

Thank you!

Zoomhash

Needless to say, I will not be getting any of the bonuses ZeusMiner was offering for pre-ordering.  I also asked them if that $650 included the PSU's and the Pi, alas it does not.  In my mind paying the extra $ for the 5.2MH isn't worth the $50 discount they are offering because they have caused me to lose hundreds on discounts/bounses from ZuesMiner.

Also I have not seen any reports regarding power consumption issues with the Blizzard, I have only seen reports of how well they perform.  It makes me wonder if they ever had plans to honor the ZeusMiner orders at all, another friend of mine ordered the "Red Dragon" model, which is the ZeusMiner Thunder, and Zoomhash said they weren't sure if it was going to ship, so they sent him an A2miner and he isn't getting the ZeusMiner bonuses either....

No order numbers have ever been PM'ed or posted. These reports are from newly registered users with no other history.

This is most likely lies spread from a competitor. Unless these users post order numbers and substantiate their claims.

Same thing happened to me with the gridseed 5 chips, I bought early on 10 units rated to go 3.5-3.7Mh/s per Zoomhash

the units never clocked higher than 3Mh/s steady, and  this if I am lucky in the best pool there is.

This is after shipping the item a week late.

Luckily I bought the units with a credit card and it happen that the price within 2 weeks of me buying them fell over 50%.

I called my card company they reversed the charge completely, after I tried to deal with Zoomhash directly.

I got my money back and kept the units, though they are worthless and even if I had paid $$$

I would have never made ROI.

I suggest you call up your card company if you purchased it with one.

All the chargebacks we had were for fraud and they were for items less than $200.

We never had a chargeback for 10pcs of the 5 chip gridseeds.

What is your order number?

Also, what you described doing is criminal and we will press full charges allowed by law. In the USA and most of the world, you can't just do a chargeback and not return the items unless the merchant gives you permission to do so.

This is also irresponsible and bad behavior that borderlines scamming.

I paid for same day shipping, they delayed a week, didn't change the price or provide the 10% discount promised.  Glad it was only small order to see how they were...

is so many brand new people with problems! never trust forum when tons of new posters all say there are problems without info you can verify- sounds fake.

read your bold line, try to search online online- power supplies melting. power usage 3x over original advertised. people have trouble keeping blizzard online. still advertise pocket sized but is huge

at least ZoomHash not sell garbage hardware from Zeus

Was thinking about buying one of the units, but the shipping is crazy. $50.00 to ship a Blizzard? Most others offer free shipping, how can anyone want to order from this site, they have the same products as everywhere else but at much higher prices.

Absolutely, NONE of these complainers ever PM'ed me an order number nor have they posted their order number.

Unless you are competitor spreading FUD. Please give us your order number.

Also, most of the complaints are from new accounts.

I guess we must be doing something right to have people create FUD about us...

Our mistake in shipping, we are changing that now. Thanks.

Mike here in the USA you have 1 competitor that I know of.  I will not say their name ..

I have purchased more then 6k from you and more then 3k from the competition.

Since I won't say the name of them.

Here is what I will say your gridseed blades have the best power to hash numbers of anything under 700 dollars.

The other chip in the other gear  uses way more power then your gridseeds.

I won't buy the other gear  the 100usd-150 usd or the 1000-1500 usd  or the bigger ones.  I only buy your gear right now.

I will not say the name of the other gear but It looks like the word is out that the power numbers of the gridseeds kill that of the other gear.

Someone must be smearing you so that other people will not buy from you.

Heres is the deal folks no ltc/scrypt gear in the under 1000 dollar range is better then the gridseed blade.

Mike of Zoomhash has been honest with me.

He has never over paid or over corrected mistakes he just fixed them fairly.

My 4 stock blades run at 850 freq and do about 19mh  they pull about 85 watts each using  a seasonic plat 1200 watt psu.

I purchased  a fifth from him this morning.  a few hours ago see link

I would echo philipma1957's opinions.

I have purchased from Zoomhash multiple times and they've always been very responsive.

If the need arose - I would purchase them again if they had the best price.

Nice to see! I was not at all concerned about the people complaining, I get that you will always have those types. I was however concerned about the 50 dollar shipping cost. I see that it is fixed and will be placing my order! Thank you for quick response.

I've placed a number of orders with these guys and never had any problems at all.  They always responded to my messages right away, and every thing I ordered got to me sooner then they said it would.  I don't do all my purchases there because they don't always have everything I want, but I always check them first just because I trust them to actually deliver what they promise, when they promise.  That's been my experience anyway.

The other chip sucks power like a mad dog.  So the competitor  needs to create fear about the gridseed blade.

If you are medium scale miner like me .
5x gridseed blades  purchased one at a time makes sense.
cost is under 3.5 k  you get under 450 watts used if you run them on a plat psu.  475 watts on a gold psu.

  you get a paypal warranty.
if one breaks the other 4 are still working.

a Zeus chip  28mh miner runs for  less but is preorder is really loud and pulls  close to 1000 watts.

if it breaks you are down to 0 hash waiting to replace it.  you need a more expensive psu to run it at least this

http://www.rakuten.com/prod/evga-supernova-1300-g2-1300w-power-supply-110-v-ac-220-v-ac-input/249973555.html

i can run 10 gridseed blades on that psu actually 12 or 13

and a gridseed blade does not overheat if you put this fan in it and run it at freq850 or freq 800

http://www.rakuten.com/pr/product.aspx?sku=214874357   so it is quiet.

I've ordered a few little Gridseeds & 1 5.2mh Blade from ZoomHash & had an excellent experience with them every time!!!Shipping was fast!!!  Grin

My only problem is I'm getting ready to order another Blade soon & I have 8200+ reward points & the little box shows the points, but nothing to apply them to (shipping discount,% off).

Hope you guys fix your points program soon Wink

BTW,thanks for taking Paypal, sold my Ants on Ebay & was going buy BTC,but the exchange rate on localbitcoins is kinda high, would've lost quite a few bucks in the conversion...........

Keep up the good work ZoomHash!!!!!!  Cool

I purchased a scrypt ASIC from zoom hash... Gridseed blade.

It arrived early, and in good condition... Shipping was to Canada and I paid in Bitcoin.  My only complaint is that I ordered the PSU's and they arrived days later in a separate shipment.... I only have one comment (not really a complainant) I wish they gave more info about using. PSU to power the gridseed blade on their website.... However I did end up making the cable myself in the end.... And the gridseed blade was relatively new then!

I will be dealing with them again as they are a good company and they respond quickly to emails and requests!
