I just love these 'Last chance to buy bitcoins at $X!' threads. They appear every time bitcoin's price begins to fall, and are often posted by people long on bitcoins watching their investment shrink in value. Sometimes the thread is true (try buying a bitcoin for $2.20 today), but very often the thread is completely wrong ($7.20 was apparently the last chance to buy them that cheap before they rocket upwards...).
I got taken buying at 5.21, and I even was going to sell but decided to hold. Funny thing is the only other time I bought bitcoins I sold them the same day I think and the price went down and never looked back. Looks like this ist he case again, bought at 5.21, now its falling, and it is likely to drop even much more. I am definitely dumping all my coins as close to 5.21 as I can so that I don't lose any money. just buy twice as much lower

naa I won't buy any more until this new bitcoin bubble deflates.
I know better than to buy bitcoins above $2.00, but I thought I would gamble a bit and buy at a low point and then watch it swing higher.
But what I did was catch a falling knife, a very newbie idiot move, when the price went that low, it went that low for a reason, and that reason was that it was not going to go higher.
At least my loss is very small right now as I bought at 5.21, I will try and sell them if we rebound above 5.2. If we start hitting that $5.00 wall, my coins will be sold ASAP as if we break the $5.00 wall all hell is going to break loose and we will probably see $2.00 very soon.

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Anyone know what's causing the sudden plunge? Man, am I glad my Dwolla account isn't verified yet! I was gonna buy at $5.25 earlier.

I became tempted to buy at $5.25 and did... saw the lack of momentum and got the feeling it would head lower. Liquidated my gambling on Bitcoincia at a profit and sold on MtGox. Now we're at $4.82 and it's difficult to see a bottom at the moment. Chartists, start your engines.

Looks like the (temporary) bottom was at $4.82. It's since started to creep back up a bit. Scratch that, falling again... What a yo-yo! This is why I don't watch the stock market, too bouncy. lol

There's a lot of money to be made right now by being lucky enough to pick the next trend. I'm sitting this one out however. Profits are off the table and I'll return to the game later on.

Actually the buying window is still open. Dead cats do bounce, just not very high.

YES! I CALLED IT. My next bet is below $4.50 by the end of this month. I'll go with 48 hours to $4.50. Scraping the dead cat off the driveway.I am confused by this -- perhaps it is being taken too far. If Bitcoin is a dead cat being scraped off the driveway, how can its exchange rate still be @ ~$4.50/coin? (I assume USD value is to literally translate to the cat's altitude in meters?) It appears the cat is levitating. Now, perhaps the cat is able to control his altitude, and death would result in falling onto the driveway, which could occur if the cat is shaken violently enough due to extreme market volatility, and THEN he could be scraped up, but at this point, the cat has fallen only 4.5m, and died recently (in fact, we are predicting his death and would be able to respond immediately, and possibly even prior to the event's occurrence, in which case we could catch the cat), so it's unlikely we would need to scrape him off the driveway and could instead merely pick the cat's body up (assuming we did not catch the cat during the death-fall)... perhaps have a nice funeral service. Now, to my point.... If we are going to use hyperbole to describe, and perhaps influence, Bitcoin's value - how about something more graphic and extreme? Maybe instead of "even a dead cat bounces when dropped from great heights," we instead say "even when shovel-dog is hit with the mightiest of shovels, his muscles spasm rapidly"? Or, what's the other one currently in circulation? The fellow getting his head chainsawed off, I believe.... "Even a man with his head detached by chainsaw will still spray life-force up into the air, and in a zero-gravity (or near-zero-gravity) environment, may be able to propel himself upward if upside-down, but will eventually run out of blood.... which may or may not affect the speed at which he moves." Hm... that last one might be flawed.

Okay, now I am genuinely confused. What's that? Reverse psychology? Or Reverse, reverse, reverse psychology?
Or actually a try to actually get new users into the community? If so, I don't really think this board is a good place to tell people about Bitcoin. xD

"We are just fools. We insanely believe that we can replace one politician with another and something will really change. The ONLY possible way to achieve change is to change the very system of how government functions. Until we are prepared to do that, suck it up for your future belongs to the madness and corruption of politicians." Martin Armstrong
