I always laugh when people say they would have bought in 2 years ago because prices back then were much smaller than today and they don't buy in right now because prices are too high Cheesy.

Why is it so hard to understand that 2 years ago there was as much FUD as there is now and they would have said the same thing and compared 10$ price to 1$ price Cheesy, wishing they knew about bitcoin in 2010 because 1$ was much smaller price than 10$

Today's developments simply confirm that the only trading decision you should be making is whether to buy more or hold.

I usually like buying when there's blood on the streets (like BTC was 3 months ago and like LTC is now)

All this hype and delusion actually worries me a little. I know it is highly likely that we are about to enter the next bubble, but let's not jinx it or we might end up with a shitty bubble that barely scrapes ATH following a crash like no other. Just calm down.

You kinda summed up how I feel right now as well.  While I'm all for fabricated or well-timed positive news during uptrends (and hate fake FUD during downtrends), I feel the media will be the devil of bitcoin until it's marketcap grows sufficiently large enough to be able to resist the media mania crap and the whale manipulation.

I agree this might be the last time to buy sub 700, but I tend to think mainstream - adoption might be closer to 10 yrs from now than 2. You have to consider your parents, grandparents and non-techie friends as well. But since mainstream means 1btc will be in the 100000 - 1000000 range I guess I can wait Wink

I think even if it goes that little bit more mainstream we will be talking 5 figures.

We are in the calm before the storm.  It is a great time to buy

I don't think we will see $400 and pehaps $500 again, with the positive news of the last days we are going up up up.

Today's developments simply confirm that the only trading decision you should be making is whether to buy more or hold.

And it shouldn't be a difficult decision:

Have spare money? Buy.
Don't have spare money? Hold what you've got.

It`s a good chooise to buy now, we are in the correct time to buy now or cry later. I know that probably we will face another big dump in the future (maybe before this year ends) but before that we will broke the $1200 limit very hard.

Somehow I don't think "BYUING" will catch on the same way "HODLING" did. But nice try. Not the strongest argument I've ever seen, OP, but I'm more or less with you.

Who exactly 'coined' the term hodling & when? Was it originally a spelling mistake?

It was a thread in this subforum. Price was dropping hard I think, and the guy was (maybe?) drunk, and it just sort of caught on. I kind of wish it didn't....
