Can anyone explain why coindesk removed an important comment about compromising private keys? What article was this on? I have always thought that they get paid for doing these 'good' articles they don't point out the cons just the pros. I stopped reading after it got preditable.

Good for them, but the truth is the truth and I want to make sure the truth gets out. I don't want Khan playing JP Morgan, controlling the press. It shows that bitcoin is still young.

I can't speak to the comment removal but I have had a few 'good' articles speaking positively about my business on coindesk and I did not pay any money or offer any incentives to them for writing these articles.
I was just willing to their answer questions so that they could write an article. (I did not approach them to write the articles they approached me).

I mean they have to report something everyday, so I think some articles are not bribed but I have yet to see a profile of a company that has shown any of the cons. Then to block a legitimate comment come on...

I'm sure they could have put negative stuff into the articles about my company, but they didn't. I think more because their motivation is to make bitcoin look good; so they put a positive light on everything bitcoin related (even when some stuff certainly does not deserve a positive light). Maybe they have some paid articles; I don't know. But I know for a fact that not all their positive profile pieces are paid .

There is journalism then their is falsely presenting information, leaving out negatives is the latter.

Mate. Don't get sore as it is not your business getting covered. Then attack the very publication you would like to appear on. It is counterproductive.

*shrug* What do I care what Khan pays to have reported to himself? Don't misinterpret it as a proper news agency -- we don't have one.

Gweedo loves us really, and he seems a bit overly obsessed with Shak.
If you think Shak sits in a large black leather chair stroking a cat, directing bitcoin news then you have an interesting imagination.

And we know you are connected to coindesk... because of your avatar? I think more people agree with me but it is ok, we all know coindesk gets paid for good articles.
I am not sore at all actually, just disappointed that people actually think you are real news outlet and you are doing this kind of stuff to manipulate views of other people.
I can say that before inputs went under, TF told me he paid for an article. Now he is a liar and scammer, but I don't think he would lie about something like that.

this is a red herring and has nothing to do with the coindesk bribery accusation. CoinDesk takes payment for article publishing is a well known industry fact, though it does not mean that they are paid for each an every article. But it is not only CoinDesk, it is also true for a lot of big media. I just showed that BlockCypher is also covered by business insider which may be another paid article. Also they posted here itself, so their credential may be challenged here too. Paid Article should not be considered as Bribery. Bribery is illegal, paid article is not. Gweedo loves us really, and he seems a bit overly obsessed with Shak.

So Shakil Khan is addressed as Shak !!! Thats funny ...LMAO R u Shak by any chance ?

We have never been paid to write articles. Leave a comment or even better - contact the journalist if you feel there are mistakes in the articles. Also, we have no control over this forum, so cannot delete messages! We have actually had complaints about being negative to a few companies, so you cannot please everyone. http://www.coindesk.com/editorial-policy/We are currently still looking for reporters - funnily enough not too many journalists are digital currency experts http://www.coindesk.com/jobs/journalist/Thanks bitkeef

I don't think so My impression of coindesk to date is quite favourable in that the overall coverage tone feels pretty balanced to me
Think about it, blogging makes no money. Why else would Shakil Khan start one? Oh because he has a lot of money and it would be a great platform for his startup investments. So to make coindesk some what profitable they charge small startups for these fuff pieces. Trust me I know when people are just using words to make something technical sound like it is good when they don't even understand it. Read this http://www.coindesk.com/inputs-io-a-high-security-bitcoin-web-wallet/ TF even told me, he paid them to just write that. Also look at how much coverage bitpay gets, they are a company Shakil Khan invested in. I wish TF aka Free Hugs confirms if he paid to Shak for this article...

I don't think so My impression of coindesk to date is quite favourable in that the overall coverage tone feels pretty balanced to me

I can say that Free Hugs is not TF (probably sold the account), they have extremely different writing styles, plus TF was a lot meaner when pointing out flaws in projects. As we all know TF is extreme lair, so I would say please don't base any validate for this issue on anything TF did past and present. I said this just as another knife in the coffin, there are better examples.
