Just a friendly warning,   Grin

Sell your bitcoins before we break the $5.00 wall, because once we do we will probably be testing $2.00 again.

I own bitcoins that I bought at 5.2, and am in the process of selling them before we break the $5.00 wall.

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Shit I may have to take my first bitcoin loss if those damn manipulators don't start pushing the price up higher. They are letting us all rot here. Well, at least they have their 18K Bid wall at $5.00 that I will probably sell into.

I thought I wouldn't see panic selling anymore. No. It was only matter of scale. Couple of months ago selling 30K bitcoins was enough to scare people. Now, it takes ~100K. But people still panic. It is so much fun to watch than participate.

HOLY SHIT FUCKING PANIC SELL

I couldn't sell my fucking bitcoins fast enough. I took a bit of a fucking loss.

Stupid fucking mt. gox does not have a stop loss, where I would have sold my coins before the $5.00 wall was broke.

That was intense selling those coins.

Well I gambled. I had my chance to sell above $5.2 all day today. And had my chance to sell at $5.1 just before the drop and my warning.

Now I have a fucking bit coin loss.

I knew better than to hold them, but held them like an idiot. Just look at my last posts when I said multiple times I was selling,

The last time it declined i cashed out ($10->2$), sold my rigs, i'm not as far in the whole this time. I might even buy a bunch if they manage to fall much more.

I'm not see'ing what exactly crashed the price though, other than Mt.Gox has 173k volume, is that what it is?

I don't think it is a bear trap, the price has been taking a beating for weeks now. Finally someone was able to break through some of the manipulators walls and attemps at trying to hold the price stable.

All classic signs we will be going lower very soon. Someone is invested in the price falling, and it will continue.

Edward50, I'm afraid you lost any credibility with me on the "I think it is safe to buy now" thread.

You guys are idiots.

Selling without regard to the price. These panic sells are what fuel the rate going down. If you just sit tight everything will even out.

That being said, feel free to sell, we'll just buy them up and make $1 profit per BTC you sell.

I have no problem with thread necromancy when it brings up an example from the past that people can learn from.  Those who are focused on the short term will be burnt in this market.

Actually, this was after the $7.22 high when we had the 5 for 5 ($5 for 5 months) sideways correction before we took off in this bubble.
We still didn't hit $2 again though. The best they could have gotten was $3.87 (remember the meelba short? Cheesy) which is still a nice % gain for the price.

Edit: The meelba short was a couple of weeks earlier (17-1-12) and only hit a low of $4.64. The $3.87 stands though

Hi everyone. I'm BitcoinAshley from the future. The forum can't display future post dates, but a bitcoin-crowdfunded time machine was built and I am returning to this thread from June 11, 2014 to tell you the following has happened:

-BTC is $123,748 (Sorry, Rpietila)
-Bernanke and Krugman both admitted they were wrong on national TV
-Gold is $4,378/oz (Sorry, cypherdoc)
-The USD is inflating at a rate of 37% YoY at the moment, increasing every month. The EUR and JPY are already in shambles
-I am really, really rich
-So are all of you. Well, most of you. A few of you took long-term short positions, and still will, even after reading this (we used algorithms to determine that this post would not significantly affect the future. Turns out bears will be bears.)
-Your grandma can now use bitcoins to buy petrol and cigarettes at the ghandi mart. Congrats!
-Litecoins are accepted at Wal-Mart
-Satoshi Nakamoto's true identity has been discovered. But I'll make you wait for that one...

Ok, trade accordingly!  Grin Grin Grin

But but but if the USA is going through hyperinflation, what is the point of trading Bitcoins for USD? Just to say you're a millionaire? Well I could be a trillionaire with Zimbabwe dollars today Grin

BTC: 16whd9eNR8WY9nVhUUevNYMbQB2eS1jtYF
I also accept precious metals, no paper money please.

It's great reading some of these old posts. Gives us 'newbies' a sense of the drama around the history of the bitcoin.

I wonder what monumental shift made it take off.

I only came aware of it when I could no longer use my Paypal account setup in NZ because I changed countries and they wouldn't accept the new countries card being attached to my old NZ account. Rather than start a new account, I searched for alternative ways to pay for online gaming. And somehow my search led to me bitcoins. Now bitcoins is becoming the new online game for me.

The stock market today is a war zone, where algobots fight each other over pennies, millions of times a second.

Awesome predictions, but aren't you forgetting the fact that Germany reinstated the Reichsmark as an alternative to the allmighty Bitcoin?  Wink

Just a friendly warning,   Grin

Sell your bitcoins before we break the $5.00 wall, because once we do we will probably be testing $2.00 again.

I own bitcoins that I bought at 5.2, and am in the process of selling them before we break the $5.00 wall.

looking back at this today

Perhaps Lophie you might become the saviour of the Universe
Brangelina's offspring started the whole mutation sequence so the ending would need yet another movie not starring Brad Pit before we find out what happens XD
Or paradox sequence you got the wrong brad pit and you need to get the one with two tt's so the whole entire sequence failed before it even began.
