Wasn't sure which place would be best, here or services...but I'm sure it'll get moved if it needs to.

Moving on...

There are some fantastic new bitcoin startups we're excited about for sure, but what are your ideas for bitcoin related businesses for non devs? Looking for fresh, out of the box startup/business ideas for the non technical sorts like me, or traditional models that can be revamped for bitcoin?

Or, things you'd like to see but don't have the skills to make it happen - maybe you can inspire some devs out there looking to get involved to make it happen.

These would be good to start now or within the next year or two before "everybody and their mamma" are doing it too. Great ideas? Share Smiley

You say "anti government" like that's a bad thing...

I have been considering a mail order bit coin coffee bean business. I have some roasting equipment and access to wholesale beans so i could literally roast it right before it goes in the box. I could get it up and running for less than 1k so I will probably pursue it when price stops climbing and people are less reluctant to spend.

Something a common joe can do that can be revamped using Bitcoin that's actually a tricky one
I would say helping people use Bitcoin and teaching a course on the technology would be something a non-dev could do.
Sort of a Bitcoin helpers (Similar to the Geeksquad)

A good web developer could do that fairly easily. The real cost would be as always in the marketing. I would definitely use such a service.

alot of you are obsessed with websites. yet the OP said NON-DEV.

so here goes
consultant
PR
advertising
product supply (drop shipper)
bureau de change agent in your area
broker
advisor
distributor
product testing
blogger/media
self employed services (EG landscaper, handyman) paid in bitcoins

just think of something that can be done with dollars that interests you. and to it with bitcoins instead

now if the OP's question was, what does bitcoin NEED:

drop shippers that accept bitcoins and send out products at wholesale. EG coffee beans, clothing, long life food, beverages etc. stuff that merchants can order using bitcoin and then sell themselves, thus completing the supply/retailer/customer chain.
