i mean how will i know if the a specific altcoin is going up or down and what is the best time to sell or buy it?

You don't know things for sure. The only thing you can do is invest into coins you feel that they have a future before everyone esle sees that.

2 - You need to study the coins that is listed there (visit their website, bitcointalk thread)
3 - You need to stay away tuned on what's on
4 - You need feeling for the buy/sell time Smiley

Its all you need to do if you want to jump in alt coins its very hard work you just spend in bitcoin and take profit after some time its better option for your investment right now

it's luck you can't know it, but there are certain coins that can rise more easily then others, you will get used to recognise them

Just use an exchange like Mintpal / Cryptsy / Poloniex or others (perhaps not Sharex...) and send to it the btc you want to trade,
then feel free to buy some scamcoins  Smiley
