if a falling knife, bad news on the exchanges, and chicken little screaming about a 94% correction is not panic then i don't know what is.

at this point, we've completely deflated the bubble to $7.20. the Accumulation/Distribution Line is precisely at the level it was at the eve of the rally. in fact, this analysis:

Interestingly enough, if you compare the magnitudes of each rally and assume that they will drop as much as the first rally as a magnitude of the percentage, you get a "perfect" estimate of a 33% drop from our high of $7.22, bringing us down to $4.81.

...God damn 33% percent retracement rule.
Damn I'm good. Let's see if this holds...

...echoes my observation. bull market ahead! and i know there will be naysayers because that's what PANIC means. but i've already capitulated, so i'm just letting you guys know just how far ahead of the market im trading Tongue

Have a look at the autumn chart and think about how long this panic can take.

Yay, this means a new generation of Bitcoiners. Everyone complaining about unfair advantages of very (very, very) early adopters this is your chance!

Time for some reminiscence: Oh god, Bitcoin is is going to die because of massive deflation. Price is never going to go down. People will always keep their coins. No markets can establish.

Those were the days my friend. We thought they'd never end... Cheesy

Happy Valentine's Day!

(Maybe people just cash out to buy flowers and pralines? Hey folks, you can get these with Bitcoins!)

This is a good analysis. We're definitely in the panic phase but I'm not quite sure that we've reached capitulation yet.

To zby I must say that comparing this to Autumn makes no sense to me. The so called bad news that we've recently experienced are not nearly as significant this time around, not yet at least.

Price movement is not purely technical, many follow what is going on in the Bitcoin world. Currently there are reasons to be optimistic about Bitcoin's current state, I talked about that in the thread called "Meanwhile...".

arepo, you know im a bitcoin bull and optimist - but i indeed think this selloff to 4.2 is very bad for bitcoin. it shows the HUGE panic-potential to the downside and the huge panic-scepticism on the upside.
