Would you like to participate of an artistic experience? Are you interested in Economy? Are you part or would like to be part of a collective project? Would you like to experiment a common initiative? So you should apply for this call!
This is an open call for applications from groups and/or individuals working in the fields of art and/or science. For people who are interested in giving continuity to the experimental crypto-currency mine developed as an investment model within the þit. Through this application process, groups and/or individuals representing community initiatives are encouraged to share their ideas and motivations for continuing to experiment with this venture initiated as an art work.
the þit is a self-sufficient system that will produce natural and financial resources for local community use. It is a project by Maíra das Neves and Pedro Victor Brandão, Brazilian artists currently working in Germany especially for this project.
This open call will select two initiatives that will receive each a crypto-currency mining rig (with 6 GPU’s Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti OC).
The initiatives must be developed in one of the cities of the
Ruhrgebiet (Bergkamen, Bochum, Bönen, Bottrop, Breckerfeld, Castrop-Rauxel, Datteln, Dorsten, Dortmund, Duisburg, Ennepetal, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Gevelsberg, Gladbeck, Hagen, Hamm, Hattingen, Herdecke, Herne, Herten, Holzwickede, Kamen, Kamp-Lintfort, Lünen, Marl, Moers, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Neukirchen-Vluyn, Oberhausen, Oer-Erkenschwick, Recklinghausen, Rheinberg, Schwelm, Schwerte, Sprockhövel, Unna, Waltrop, Werne, Wettera and Witten)
