Theymos has said he doesn't care much about url shorteners, though he has blocked specific ones in the past, I think because they were ad based, don't really recall. I apologize for being a bit off topic here, but there's forum software that recognizes suspicious looking links? I always figured it was the mods removing them.
The forum software is heavily modified. Only newbies have URL shorteners and other suspicious links filtered out. (300+ banned patterns!) There's no problem with other people posting such links, though I recommend posting the whole link unless it's really long. What is the forum policy on link shorteners as I see no mention of this anywhere?
They're fine.

They're fine. The link ANXPRO forum managers are placing across the board are not mere URL shortner of anxpro.com. They are shortening a referral. If u take up the example I have given, it is broken down as follows... https://anxpro.com/?utm_source=forum_referral02&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=marketing]

Yes... I do !!! I prefer quality over quantity in every aspect of life @tysat Just checked bitcointodaynews.com in your sig. Is it yours ? Quality over quantity is definitely good, you're just being slightly extreme with it... It's not mine, just trying to help promote it for now since I've got nothing better to put in my sig. As for the URL shortening with ANXPRO, it looks like it's just being done to hide the referral link. There's really no reason to use a URL shortener if you're using BB code to make it appear as text instead of the URL.

Replies to questions with referrals are usually okay, though it may still be classified as spam if the user is posting them excessively (if that's the case mention it in the reason for reporting). It's mainly creating threads for the purpose of spreading referral links we have a problem with.

I don't know, but I personally think It would be referral spam If there wouldn't be alternative without a referral link but you can choose between referral and not referral link. As far as I know If you post on topic link with Referral It isn't a ref spam but I don't know If you post as a commentator or original post creator. In this situation I wouldn't call It as a referral spam but mods or admins decide this.
He's right, this isn't referral spam as he included non-refs If it were referral spam he would've done something like "JOIN MY SITE REFLINK.com/REF" That's ref spam
