What features are you interested to see on Vootmarket ?

I would love to see TOR being implemented in the market, escrow is a must, ability to build your own shop with products as you see on those black markets will be nice, if you would add more coins to pay with than just voot - it would be absolutely amazing and would get adopted really fast both by the honest sales people and the criminals.

check at what vericoin did with their adoption to bitcoin merchants (wherever btc is accepted, you can now pay with vericoin as well) voot should have that and much more!

I have seen Veribit but i think it's not automated. Having an exchange connected to the POS will make it easier for conversion i think Undecided

It is not automated at the moment,, true, but it is possible to automate if used verification from blockchain. I saw some new alt with 100% premine using some sort of form for the IPO, which verifies if btc was sent to the address then checks the amounts, and sends the altcoin to the provided address.
Its susceptible to exploits i think, but could be secured as well, i think that altcoin was ALT industries or something like that, really weak support on it so far and i hope it stays that way Smiley 100% premine... this world is going crazy ;]]]

It should be safe, I just have to get exchange done which is easy. Vootpay account will be connected to the exchange (Voot DEX ). If you want to pay with Voot at a restaurant that accepts only BTC ( the system places order at the exchange for BTC which withdraws it to the merchant btc address ) maybe 3-5mins  ??
kinda confusing  Grin

3-5 minutes is too long in a restaurant. People hate waiting and the new digital moneyz should bring joy and ease to life of regular Joes. A cc transaction is faster than that, so voot should aim to compete with that. would need to be 1-2 minutes at most.

as for an exchange, I don't think you can rely on the API of just one exchange, since this can be influenced tremendously by a pump and dump (you will have these constantly until the voot distribution is evened out through the users, because now you have whales holding bags and other wanting a piece of the action before the price rises) I suggest maintaining an average rate of voot from 3-5 exchange sites to secure the average rate and eliminate the volatility caused by day traders.
There are many ways to approach this, but you really need good developers.

What happend with the original team that was supposed to deliver VootMarket? I am a bit discouraged now Smiley

It was due to timeline. You have to factor btc tx confirmations in the PoS

the thing is, once voot releases the market, all other coins will copy it anyway, so it wont be as unique anymore, sop jumping ahead and letting other coin users pay with their coins using the vootmarket will just make the market itself stronger and voot will gain popularity as it will be the main coin to trade with anyway.

I mean some feature like uploading some crap coin like any of the recently released ones and letting users convert it to VOOT to pay for goods.

So yea, more like a built in exchange that only goes one way for cryptos

ALTCOIN, BTC --> VOOT
VOOT --> Goods on market

This will keep voot strong and unique.

Won't this selling of large amounts of VOOT to raise BTC be killing the price?  No wonder it's won't go up.  I think this is a flawed way of doing things.

Agreed. It causes big dumps because they want to get the btc fast.
Yet to do this right, you need to code a bot that would sell off small amounts at  a time of the rise and buy back small amounts when the prices are lower.

Once funds are gathered, you really need to rethink this strategy for further developments.

Selling off VOOT over the forum not to affect the prices on the automated exchanges might help (hoping that the buyers are in for the long haul)

selling in cheap prices only kill the coin, selling on forum doesn't affect the price much as there is not much volume of selling.

The problem isn't people selling.  It's MsCollec or whoever is selling hundreds of thousands of coins to get BTC for development.  It's probably the stupidest strategy you could use.  Also the price is stagnant.  It is half of what it was and despite good news it continues to keep dipping.   This is without a doubt due to this foolish strategy of creating a VOOT fund and selling that to get BTC.  Whoever thought of that strategy needs to be taken out and shot (figuratively).  Any payments to develop VOOT should be made in VOOT.  That way anyone who works on it has a vested interest in the price rising.
