700k voot killing the market? At this price? lol seriously? If this coin was 50k sats a piece, then I would be worried worried about 700k dump, but right now? That's silly.
I happily bought yesterday at 1200 sats and I intend to hold long term. And I don't mean "one week" long term. There will be ups and downs, sure. My investment value might even go -50% and I'm aware of that. But then suddenly it might go up +500%.
If something must be done for the developement sake, let it be done. The price will adjust accordingly.

i think selling on the forums would be great, how about some sell packages at a set price with btc with a few color coins for the upcoming market.

I already sold the needed 700k coin since last week, It's just funny that someone thinks that 700k voot sale kept the price down.

Yeah funny isn't it.  If you are running the show this coin is doomed.

Let me remind you of our achievements so far

1]Nitesend: This only cost 5BTC, Libertycoin had much larger bounty and they cant get it done.
2] bounty pot: I was given 10BTC as a takeover fund, as at current price vootcoin bounty pot is valued at 17 BTC. I can say we are one of the richest community
3]Increased price, volume and voot popularity

Yes that's all excellent but what I'm saying is it's about perception.  Any sale will have any effect on price that can't be avoided but the psychological effects of these sell-offs is what I'm most concerned about.  Just please think about the alternative forum selling route.

Have you consider the consequences of announcing a pre-mine sale? Panic sell by users
Have you consider the consequences of paying vootcoin directly as a bounty? There's no guarantee they will not dump it at once and however this people are getting paid for work done and they want BTC--->USD, they are not trader that wait for price to rise.

Agreed. It causes big dumps because they want to get the btc fast.
Yet to do this right, you need to code a bot that would sell off small amounts at  a time of the rise and buy back small amounts when the prices are lower.

Once funds are gathered, you really need to rethink this strategy for further developments.

Selling off VOOT over the forum not to affect the prices on the automated exchanges might help (hoping that the buyers are in for the long haul)

Apology accepted, I understand your concern but this is something you have to trust the devs with.  Also try not to invest more than you can afford to lose. This will erase the emotional attachment to your investment.

I think we should make Voot Market, membership only payable via VOOT. Also have it modeled after ebay with all the final fee, selling fee etc, payable of course in VOOT.

Also people can use other "allowed" coins to buy and sell stuff but will be converted to VOOT on an exchange.

This should keep the price of VOOT high and will create it's own eco system.

This market is revolutionary, why make it like something that already exists (and sucks imo)? Ebay and its fee's are ridiculous, along with their seller protection. Ownership got screwed over HARD this year by someone when what he sent was exactly what they paid for.

If you check my previous posts on this thread, you will see that I am not trolling and am invested in voot as much as anyone else on here.
Soul Eater just raised a valid point, which I agree with to a point.

If you want voot converted to btc do it off the main exchanges OR do it in lesser quantities. simple.
I am not trying to scare anyone off, but this sort of behaviour from the devs is considered dumping the premine on new coins.
now I know this one isnt new, but the behaviour is similar.
I know the money gathered is going to be spent for vootmarket. a development that was recently delayed, right after selling off 700k at a decent price.

Again - not trolling, just putting this thought out there, since there are no guarantees that voot market will actually be delivered at all.

All trust is in MsCollec, who I do respect, being a senior here and an oldie, he is a really stand up guy.
