Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I don't want to push things and I know that it was said that we can expect next release in a few days, however to even further hype things up it would be cool to get exact date today.
There are too coins that are releasing similar features this week and it is vital to be the one that is known as the original and not a copycat.

Is the nitesend code opensourced yet?
Opensourcing is definitely not the way to go here. People will just clone it and the coins will eventually become worthless. On the other hand, we can maintain our superiority with continuous improvements if we do not opensource it. Opensourcing might be good for the users for other stuff, but not for a currency like this.

Which things have been accomplished?
Nothing yet, but MsCollec has put together a good whitepaper and roadmap ahead. They say next week will be some releases. If you have faith, invest. If not, then dont. Right now theres no reason to call it either way, just wait another week before making subtle accusations.
