Hey,

I had some spare time tonight and I was wondering how I would like my Bitcoin Client to look like and I came up with this.

What you guys think ?

It's really just for fun for the moment but I would like to make it in the future if people think it look nice...

I would also like to know what feature you would like in a Bitcoin Client ?

Peace ! Tongue

I hope we can see stuff like this from the Bitcoin devs. Its sad to see coins light NXT gaining on BTC. NXT has all the features BTC should have.

1st thought: Why would someone want a wallet with a chat?

Amazing...this would completely eliminate my need for skype or any IM when doing deals via bitcoin.
This would be great to see developed

Well, ok thats a point.

Anyway I have a very bad feeling about a chat or anything else in the same thread as my wallet. If the chat has the same stack as the wallet this is a big security problem about to happen. Also how would that friendslist/chat work anyway?

Its a wallet, make it safer! Make it easier to use safely, dont add fancy stuff that might breach security.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

Yeah, I understand your point, as for the friend list, it would need a username and password created on first run and would be stored in an online database (Could also be a security problem, I know Tongue )

beautiful! Why is a chat needed in a bitcoin wallet? I'm not sure about this part.

ALSO: where is the balance? And swipe/import private keys? Wink

Chat is a matter of taste. For bank transfers you can leave a message, as well, so it would be useful to link the message more closely with the payment.

I think Bitcoin wallets could in general use a better design and this looks good to me!

Yeah! It looks great!  Smiley For nice people chat would be helpful but if it comes in wrong hands, hacks might come through it. If you make chat as a sub app, it may reduce the problem.
I hope it will come in future  Grin .

you can attach a public message to bitcoin transactions already. Much longer than bank transfers

Wouldnt that be a chat with my wallet? Oh wait...

This would only help if the other person also uses the same wallet. Same with blockchain.info. The messages you can attach are only shown on their homepage.

But IIRC there is a way to sqeeze some information into an transaction. With sequence_no and and lock time 0 or something like that. Gives you a few bytes worth of data. Not 100% sure if this is correct and I cant seem to find the thread where this was discussed. But this would probably not satisfy most people anyway.

I think there is a missunderstanding here, but feel free to prove me wrong. How exactly would I do this?

Made some modification Tongue

We now have the balance, and a redeem section...

As for why I thought a chat would be a cool feature is simply because I saw it as an IM featured Bitcoin wallet, to facilitate communication between users and facilitate transaction for non-techsavy users.

I am not sure how it would be less secure to have a chat box in there.

In the wallet section I would like to be able to create a multi signature wallet simply by drag and dropping user to a wallet creation box, then, when everyone choosed their password, the multisig address is created. When you want to spend from this wallet you would need the approval of the number of user choosed when we created the wallet (ex. 2 of 3, 5 of 5, etc)

The transaction section would show all the transaction sorted either by address, user, date...

The redeem section would be used to redeem Private Key..

Only with blockchain.info and they only show up on that site. They are not a part of the bitcoin blockchain.

kind of cool, except I don't like the pictures or the chat box hmm or the friends thing. so many messenger programs for that.
plus if a friend got hacked they could oepn the wallet and chat to you, ask for coins and you wouldnt relise it was not your friend.

nice attempt though. you do have some good creative ideas Smiley keep it up!
